I have downloaded that version you have told me to use. I don't understand how that could've happened? Well, I will uninstall it and try downloading it again from the site you you gave. Have any new problems came up, or has anything been fixed. Besides the version of Nero I am using?
When I put in DVD disks, it always reads that I have a CD in the Drive and not a DVD. Is there a way to change the settings so it will show that I have inserted a DVD rather then a CD? Maybe that is the problem?
I think I have found the problem. I think I just have to change the settings of the compilation. Is there a way to download Nero Burning Rom for free? Or do I have it already when I downloaded Nero on the links you gave me? If I have it already, would you please show me where it can be found? Thank You!
Everything you require will be on the links I provided...you need to download BOTH packages...I mainly use NeroVision when I am burning such files...here's a basic guide on how I burn them...NOTE: I am using Nero 7 but works exactly the same with Nero 6 http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/356114/2104525
When you say click DVD-DVD video, I do not have that option. There is a setting that says "Make CD", and then when I put the cursor over it, it says "Video CD". Here is a screen shot of what I think I need to change the compilation to DVD. My screen does not show that I can make a DVD, like the screen shot you have showed. http://club.cdfreaks.com/attachment...w-change-settings-burn-dvds-screenshot041.png You might have to set of an account to view the picture.
Here is a better website to show what I mean. http://www.digital-digest.com/articles/nero_burning_rom_burn_dvd_page1.html I have NeroVision Express 3 SE, does that make a difference.
hmm, thought so... but whats confusing is that picture of drop down box should have cd and when drop down box is used dvd also if you have a dvdRW drive, now does it not show this on both pc's?
I want to access this, so that I can change the settings to DVD. I have a DVD burner, but through NeroVision Express 3 SE it only shows that I can make a CD and not a DVD. I think it is something simple that I am missing, like some setting is not what it is supposed to to be.
I am not too familiar with DVD Flick, so I don't know for sure. But it does show that I can make a DVD. I tried burning one video onto a DVD and it didn't do anything. When I first insert the blank DVD it asks me if I want to create a CD, or burn audio CD. And that I have inserted a blank CD. When I click on the drive it tell me though that I have a blank DVD+R DL disk in the drive. When Burning should a light come on your CPU that show you that you are actually burning? Because I do not have that. It shows up when burning CD's but not DVD's. When we purchased the computer and laptop, they had burners already installed.
yes different... load your file in / set burn options in project settings (TICK - burn project to disc) / set output as either PAL or NTSC for your region / load dvdr not dvdr dual layer / click create.
As I said previous, we are here to help..it's up to you to decide if you want our help. Several times now I have told you to change to 6.6.0.18...BOTH packages, the 2nd package actually contains NeroVision and SHOULD have the Make DVD feature....have you changed to 6.6.0.18 as yet? If so then post a History log of your last failed attempt.
I have installed 6.6.0.18 twice. I have tried burning my DVD once again and the log says that I do have the version 6.6.0.18 Here is a screen shot showing what I see on my computer. As you can see there is no option of of making a DVD, only a Video CD. Here is another log of my lastest attempt. 1a2001000000143033121420 Windows XP 5.1 IA32 WinAspi: - ahead WinASPI: File 'C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\Wnaspi32.dll': Ver=2.0.1.74, size=164112 bytes, created 26/10/2004 6:35:34 PM Nero API version: 6.6.0.18 Using interface version: 6.6.0.12 Installed in: C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\ Application: ahead\NeroVision Internal Version: 6, 6, 0, 18e Recorder: <AOPEN DUW1608/ARR> Version: A080 - HA 3 TA 0 - 6.6.0.18 Adapter driver: <atapi> HA 3 Drive buffer : 2048kB Bus Type : default (0) -> ATAPI, detected: ATAPI === Scsi-Device-Map === DiskPeripheral : WDC WD1200BB-00DWA0 atapi Port 0 ID 0 DMA: On CdRomPeripheral : AOPEN DUW1608/ARR atapi Port 3 ID 0 DMA: On === CDRom-Device-Map === AOPEN DUW1608/ARR D: CDRom0 ======================= AutoRun : 1 Excluded drive IDs: WriteBufferSize: 74448896 (0) Byte ShowDrvBufStat : 0 BUFE : 0 Physical memory : 511MB (523760kB) Free physical memory: 104MB (106840kB) Memory in use : 79 Uncached PFiles: 0x0 Use Inquiry : 1 Global Bus Type: default (0) Check supported media : Disabled (0) 8.5.2008 NeroAPI 12:05:33 PM #1 SCSI -1066 File Cdrdrv.cpp, Line 1182 SCSI Exec, HA 3, TA 0, LUN 0, buffer 0x04A15000 Status: 0x04 (0x01, SCSI_ERR) HA-Status 0x00 (0x00, OK) TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND) Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST) Sense Code: 0x24 Sense Qual: 0x00 CDB Data: 0xFA 0x10 0x01 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x06 0x00 0x00 0x00 Sense Data: 0x70 0x00 0x05 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x0E 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x24 0x00 12:05:33 PM #2 SCSI -1066 File Cdrdrv.cpp, Line 1182 SCSI Exec, HA 3, TA 0, LUN 0 Status: 0x04 (0x01, SCSI_ERR) HA-Status 0x00 (0x00, OK) TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND) Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST) Sense Code: 0x24 Sense Qual: 0x00 CDB Data: 0xF9 0x15 0xE1 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 Sense Data: 0x70 0x00 0x05 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x0E 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x24 0x00 12:05:33 PM #3 SCSI -1066 File Cdrdrv.cpp, Line 1182 SCSI Exec, HA 3, TA 0, LUN 0 Status: 0x04 (0x01, SCSI_ERR) HA-Status 0x00 (0x00, OK) TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND) Sense Key: 0x05 (KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST) Sense Code: 0x24 Sense Qual: 0x00 CDB Data: 0xF9 0x14 0xE1 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 Sense Data: 0x70 0x00 0x05 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x0E 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x24 0x00 12:05:33 PM #4 Text 0 File DVDR.cpp, Line 6168 Drive: AOPEN DUW1608/ARR Book Type request [gen]: ?, write to EEPROM Changing the Book Type was finished with error, return code -1066 12:05:35 PM #5 Text 0 File Reader.cpp, Line 127 Reader running 12:05:36 PM #6 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3309 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 12:05:36 PM #7 ISO9660GEN -11 File geniso.cpp, Line 3309 First writeable address = 0 (0x00000000) 12:05:36 PM #8 Text 0 File Burncd.cpp, Line 3233 Turn on Disc-At-Once, using CD-R/RW media 12:07:31 PM #9 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 270 Disc check failed: Medium not allowed (Wrong CD) 12:07:31 PM #10 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 282 Write in overburning mode: NO (enabled: CD) 12:07:31 PM #11 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 2483 Recorder: AOPEN DUW1608/ARR Medium not present 12:07:31 PM #12 Text 0 File DlgWaitCD.cpp, Line 448 >>> Protocol of DlgWaitCD activities: <<< ========================================= Compilation cannot be written on that medium type. Is there another version of Nero I could try? Maybe I should try the version you have burnt DVD's with? (Nero 7). It might not make a difference, but maybe I should try anyway.
Hi 7535 I haven't looked thru the whole thread but one reason why you might only have the cd option in Vision is you are using the SE which is an oem version. They usually only have the make a dvd option option for a limited if at all. Use DVDFlick like rotary suggested - here's a guide
You NOW have 6.6.0.18 installed however your last log submitted showed you still had 6.6.1.4 , that is why I asked. To upgrade to Nero7 is going to cost you $$$$$$$ @binkie7, Karen I thought that package 2 would take care of the NeroVision problem....but as you say if it's an OEM version then he's left without that option in NVE
I have stopped using Nero, because I can't figure out what is going on. I am now using another DVD program. Although I am having a problem with that as well. It would be great to get some advice as to what is happening. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/662043
