New burner, how does this one look

    Hmmpf, I agree Samsung drives are [bold]bad[/bold], but in my opinion LG are good drives. I have an LG (see sig.) and it works great for me. I realise some people have had bad experiences with some LG drives such as the 416b or whatever it is, but this one is great IMHO.

    Just defending my drive ;-)

    The reason my lightscribes were not very good, was because I used a color digital picture for the LSing. It's best to use a B&W pix for the process since the LS is monochromatic too. If they ever get LS to do color, I might be interested. I haven't bothered to try a B&W pix either. I have too many non-LS TY T02s to use anyway. When I run out of non-printable media, I will switch to Printing directly on DVD with an epsom printer.

    I too have an LG drive(2166D 16X LS), it will read DVDs that both my BenQ 1650s won't. I still burn occassionally with it also.
