thats called pixelation, and you should be able to fix that. It's not something that you should have to deal with.

now i'm really lost. I thought i had everything settled. I have the Verbatim DVD+R DLs, burning @ a 4x speed and, yet, i still having skipping and pixalation. I checked for firmware updates for my computer, but there were none. What should I do?

You have 3 threads going, basically dealing with the SAME problem...please just stick to this one..it gets a bit confusing and is against forum rules.

hmmm, ok, well, glad to see you're reading what i'm typing and not bothering to deliver any answers. Well done. Instead of critising me, maybe you could extend your excessive knowledge over to others to actually help instead of picking at little, irrelevent, issues. You've obviously read what I've wrote, but have you bothered to help out? Thanks pal.

try burning at 2.4x then on a clean machine without other programs running and the most up to date firmware

that would be a fair comment if that's what people were doing; however we have a few little rules here, they're what separates rude impatient people from those who help others to help themselves.

multiposts, profanities and insults due to not getting answers quick enough eh ?. A couple of days to cool off methinks.

We've tried to help you, but since you have chose to be a jerk to other members in here, figure it out yourself.

Hey scrode - grow up! You came to a free site and asked for help. Obviously you don't know jack. There is a function on almost all discussion forums called - Search. At the top of this forum section we are in is a sticky discussion for new guys. I have been doing back ups for years and any time something goes wrong I always go back to that before asking a question. You owe the people helping you an apology, also you should back track and do some reading and learn a few terms and what equipment you have before expecting someone to hold your hand as you cross the street. drnls

If scrode has 3 threads dealing with this problem already can someone close this thread and any other multiple threads.
