New Starview UK & IRL Combo Files 26/05/2010

    hi is there any info on the sat side of the combo that i could read about aswell plz many thanx

    its the same as any sat box you pay for a server and use that to watch the channels

    {b} please i just dont understand i ve the st view with the lan on the back but this new file u posted das it meen after i have put it on it and scan do i then need to put my internet wire in as well before it will work all i don't need 2 use the lan bite please explian for my i'q is very low on theys things and thanks for your hard work on helping me and other many tanks!!

    for all latest boxes to work you need your broadband yes

    you will need a router so you connect your starview to your cable then connect a ethernet cable from your router to your Starview job done

    Hi i am on vm and have done all of the above to the letter and am only getting fta am i doing somthing wrong i have lan connected before i started when i am wating the five mins my lan has on orange light on i am starting to wonder if my box is ok if you can help me many thanks.

    did you do the 8989 for the emu

    also are you connected via the router or modem if modem ya need router

    also it takes more than 5 mins to connect can take up to 20 mins sometimes more but you must leave it on 1 channel and not keep changing them

    Hi e45 i am using router but have not left longer than about 10 mins so will try agian also when i do the 8989 there is 2 things and are both on is that correct. thank you for your help.

    once the scan has finished go to menu then highlight accessory and on the remote press the numbers "8989"
    you will then see "K*yedit" appear on the right hand side, go to it and press ok and just check that auto update is on if its off just turn it on

    Hi e45 when i do 8989 and go into K*yedit there is not a part that says auto update.

    well what ever is in there just make sure its on then i dont have that box so im going by the tut myself ;-)

    Hi e45 i have tried again left going for half an hour still saying scra****D cha**el do you think a starvi*w 6 may be more simple to do.

    yep could be a server issue as they are always up and down

    ihave installed everything as best we can, and seem to be coming up with error code (0) when we register


    we have installed the guiness file you have sent
    Ver: F5.11 , LDR : VER00.21
    hardware Version- Ver 01.20
    Latest Update May 24 2010

    Have you done the Menu-Accessory-8989 ? yes
    Have you switched the Network to on? yes

    What is the IP address displayed in the menu? 192.168.001.003
    What is the Mac address displayed in the menu? 00.26.61.11.EF.D4 (from inside box0
    Have you gone into CSNet and set that to Ustream? YES
    If Yes, what message comes up when you register? it comes up connecting and then ERROR CODE ( 0 )

    Can anyone help with this error code ( 0 )

    factory reset
    follow this guide HERE
    and use the carling file at the end of the tut

    most important check your lan cable, it may work on your computer but not on your box
    a lot were having problems with not connecting and most had to go through 2+ different lan cables!
    some boxes just dont like them, lol
