Ok up an installed. No internet when i try and set up a wireless internet. It finds the patch which i must have put somewere good lol cant remember though. It then asks me to click it. which i do it then asks for this file: lib/hotplug/firmware/atmel_at76c50 Now ive googled and googled that file to no avail!! I really need the internet set up or the whole os is a bit stupid So creaky or any one!! PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!! Lecsiy

Ok, Well im on windows now will go back in a min and do what you said. The problem is its saying it cannot find the device for the driver that i wanna install when i try and install this default driver for what seems to be my usb wireless internet belkin thing. yeah, 'cat /etc/modprobe.conf', then try 'modinfo soundcore' and 'lspci | grep usb' ..just trying to see if any usb stuff is loaded... i'm logging off soon, but will check my mails for a while..
oops I forgot......To extract it Type tar zxvf then drag the file onto the terminal and it will already create a path
