Want to know what happens to cheap PSUs like Xions? I'll let Corsair explain... http://corsair.com/cinema/movie.aspx?id=622747
thats what i planned on but tiger does not accept returns meaning i have to eat the cost difference =[
I'm sure there's legislation about that. Make a fuss on the phone, you should get something done... If not, you could always sell it on ebay or craigslist.
alright after weeks of fidgeting and hellraising i still have no video response. However, when powering on the system i do get one beep from the motherboard and only one led powers on. and my dvd drive is responding.
i thought of that too so i plugged it into the integrated and my monitor responded but still no video. by responded i mean the back light turned on.
I didn't realise your board had integrated video. If it does, remove the graphics card, go into the BIOS and set the preferred video output to PCI express, then stick the card back in (not while the PC's on of course!)
one last problem, windows needs repaired =[ it was already installed on my hdd and is missing a file. is there a way to access BIOS from the motherboard screen?
You sure it's missing a file? Are you getting a bluescreen and reboot during the xp loading screen? That is a result of changing to a new chipset, the only solution is to reinstall windows completely.
no its not that, when it boots up i see the XFX screen and it says press tab to show screen which brings me to a black screen which reads... windows needs repairing, missing file... and its one of the sys32 files
can i access my bios without an os installed so, how? when the pc boots up to the xfx motherboard screen my options ate tab to show screen or delete to setup. and both options lead me to that windows needs repaired crap and i cannot do anything from there however, when booting that windows on another pc it loaded fine with no problems at all besides a few missing drivers.
Delete will take you to the BIOS, irrespective of what's happened to windows. if it doesn't, the keyboard shortcut isn't working, so perhaps your keyboard isn't recognised in the BIOS. Try using an old PS/2 one temporarily.
it runs!! had it up and running for a few days now and i have a serious cooling issue. for some odd reason my system is idling at around 98 degrees. That's bad. and on top of that my video card still is not being recognized and when its plugged in the onboard video isnt even recognized and i get no video response whatsoever. any suggestions?
