Hi the ip will be 192.168.1.110 on the box set your ethernet port to 192.168.1.109 root as user commando as password...port 21 to be used also just check firewall off antivirus off etc

turner sorry to bother you but this is doin my head never had a prob like this before on any other box typical has to be mine any chance you can take a look at your box settings for test network as mine says some unreachable and also servers boot options for me as havin hell of a job to connect pm me if this is better for you

i take it you have your box in your router and ftp accross the Nwork? wireless? down the list of setting you ll need to put your own gateway addy in but it ll be eayer to plug box to comp and ftp that way...my box is fine m8 but i dont have commando on atm i have virgin lite on and thats fine for the testing network, make sure dhcp is off

by the way turner you say you are running box with virgin 2.1 image how good is this image and is it easy to add the add ons as i have looked into using this image myself but put off by havin to add the add ons to change from fta channels

 

Nearly all images are the same these days
So you may as well get into it
Read back through the threads

I have had a nokia dbox 2 for about 3 and half years now, but lately it has started to freeze more often, I have tried 3-4 images and they all have been the same

basically when I reboot the box it either get stuck on the loading screen, or after 4-5 attempts I get to the channels but after beween 2-10 minutes the box will stick on channel and won't change until rebooted

Is it just a case of the box slowly dying?

I have tried changing the ucodes but not the CAM

would I need to update the keys manually if I change the CAM?

would removing the modem help at all?

Why you asking for a guide, the whole thread is a guide m8 ....the idea is to read....attempt....then ask for help at a point were your stuck

 

Hi there, my Dbox2 has stopped showing all but a few channels such as the terestial channels, BBC3 and things like that. Any other channel, such as Bravo, Living, Dave, Discovery and so on just show a black screen.

I'm currently using the Andromeda x2 Nokia image, flashed using IFA from Hellengberg.com. Following advice from similar problems to mine, I removed the services.xml file and did a full service scan after setting my scan location to Glasgow TW, and nothing changed, we still only get a handful of channels broadcasting, the rest are just black and silent.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

 

Hi there ive spent some time looking for the answer to this but had no luck !

I have a nokia dbox and have just been entering the new keys as and when ive needed too however this last lot of codes wont save anymore when i reboot this is the first time its ever happened, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this ?

Transfer the rom Via FTP

Ive had a look for a guide to do this but cant seem to find anything on this massive thread lol

Hi, i did put the laky pro image on my sagem dbox 2 1x, it worked great for a few weeks but the image has now gone off. Anyone else had this problem with the laky pro image? Thanks.
