Thanks for the efforts on this thread but I think I am down to having some expensive tea cup coasters. I wouldn't mind if they were cheap, but £15 ($30) is a bit hard to swallow if you can't use them. I will stick to Verbatim in the future which continue to copy quite satisfactorily.
Maybe Dell will come up with a firmware update that will support them. But sticking with Verbatim is a good idea.
