Oh shit, thanks for the info - i never knew you had to pay for the channels. I'd have got a shock if I had bought these like I was planning to do the other day.

i still dont get it... and i admit i am totally unexperienced with the concept of using the internet to get cable channels on my kryptview...i have however used many different p2p technologies to get football and stuff onto my pc in near enough broadcast realtime

this is how i see it so far, feel free to correct me and/or answer the questions below

this iconnect enables my box to connect to the internet
once i have internet connection i can use the box to connect to some server by ip and somehow receive more channels...

is this a p2p device for my kryptview? if not, then i guess its talking directly to this server you mentioned... what is the server offering then? is it piping cable tv via ip?
how do you know what you channels you would get? is there a way of finding out?

im trying to find out technically how is it working, have found little technical information about how this concept works on this site and others... i will continue looking but appreciate any explantions

    /me bows

Your Kryptview get the channels through your cable subscription.
    These will be Encrypted.

The I-Connect connects the Kryptview to the Interwebs to a C/S server which will unscramble the channels.

You will need to put software on your Kryptview for this to work.

Hope this helps you M8 :)

Imagine that the C/S or IKS server is a card reader with a fully paid up viewing card and your box uses that card reader rather than one physically inside the box.

Box to your Tv will be the length of your Scart lead.

Box/I-Connect to yout Broadband will be the length of your Ethernet Lead.

the a750 doesnt have a usb port, if thats the one you have

The reason it wont flash is that vista is shite always gave probs when trying to flash a box, find a PC that has XP and you should be OK
