    How much faster, you should be able to manage around 6-8x no problems

    are you talking of firmware upgrade for pioneer AO6? to get 6x - 8x dvd burns?

    The Pioneer DVD-120 is ripping 1 layer up to 12x and 2 layer dvd's up to 10x. The liteon 166s rips the 1 layer up to 16X and single layer up to 11x. Not bad huh..

    Samsung 16x. Its not connected though cuz i have a 52x CDRW philips and the DVR105 in at the min. Haven't enough power cables cuz i have 2 HDD

    Well,

    I flashed today to the firmware 1.06 and now Nero shows the DVD+R burning between 4.0-4.3 at all times. Wooo HOOO..

    Bought mine from SVP, it's cheaper than Bigpockets and postage is just 99p at weekends

    Its a Pioneer A06 retail, but in Windows XP it reads 106. I flashed it to the new firmware on Pioneer's site and it made a difference on my speed in Nero.
