Open IFOEdit, open the new VIDEO_TS folder, open VTS_01_0, then press DVD Play. Tell me what you get.
When you burned to DVD, did you burn the VIDEO_TS folder, or just what was in it? (you have to include the folder too, for it to work)
Ok im going to try again from the begining because I may have missed this http://home.earthlink.net/~jethrolights/labo.jpg I might have missed stripping and saving VTS_1 Im pretty sure I just stripped VTS_4 How Long will you be online? I really apreciate all of your help Im going to try again right now and I will bring back a report when its done
Since you are starting from the begining, try this. Using Smartripper, click "files" in the rip method. Then click on the "all" button. Don't forget to set a new Target folder. If you want help with the settings tab, let me know.
Another thing with the DVD that I am ripping is that it has Standard OR Widescreen option before the menu...Maybe I should try a differant DVD?
In that last screenshot I posted I think VTS_1 is "Standard" and VTS_4 is "Widescreen" ... I should just strip and save one of those right?
The region code will be taken care of later. First thing is to make a copy of the ENTIRE DVD. Then you can eliminate everything else you don't want. There are many diferent ways to rip, this is just the way I do it.
Ok I have done everything as mentioned and when I try "DVD Play" in IfoEdit I just get a black screen... As for the region code I have been asigning it to region 1 right after I rip the files to my HDD....I do it with IfoEdit...Could that be the problem
http://home.earthlink.net/~jethrolights/labow.jpg Thats the screen shot from earlier that I burned *****~~EDIT~~***** Looks Like They are BLOCKING my ScreenShot links*****OR this is just a slow ass board...Try clicking on my link(24 Aug 2002 8:32 PM) above Could we deal with this through E~Mail?
The link you posted does work, but if you look at the URL, your'll see a <br> behind it. So it's probably your posting. Now, about your problem, have you been working with the same DVD-movie the whole time, or have you had the problem with other movies too? Also, what you can do is start from scratch with a different movie. Rip the DVD, open IfoEdit and play this movie before you do anything else. If it plays, start stripping, then try to play again, etc. When the movie is exactly what you wanna burn, hit "Get VTS sectors" and go through the process. Restart IfoEdit and press "Region free". If everything still works, burn it, but do WITH an empty AUDIO_TS folder. Afterall, it doesn't take up any space, and my brand-new DVD set-top player is very picky with folders and discs, yours could be too... Later, when everything works, you could always try to leave it and see what is does.
Gentlemen we have success!!! Thank You VERY much ….I can not believe how great that felt when it Finally played in my settop…Thanx again…I’m sure I will be back with more questions soon
The problem was I misunderstood that when I open up my folder to Get VTS Sectors I did NOT need to do that for the VIDEO_TS.IFO file...Just an example of a no0b needing EXACT directions...Thanx again guys Lets move on to my next question(New thread)
