And Pioneer says that their DVD supports these Discs manufacturer

CMC is there. I emailed Pioneer about the support for the Bitsetting cause its unacceptable while other have it they don't.

tried some programs to changed the Bitsetting, but they tell me the drive does not support. Do you know any scroupolous program that can do this. LOL

Can I change the Bitsetting after it has been burned. Thanks

i noticed i had QUITE a mouthful in that Daxon link creaky provided...varying opinions on media...ALL THE TIME~ :)

as creaky stated, booktype CAN NOT be changed AFTER the burn, while i am unfamiliar with the newest pioneer, i KNOW FOR A FACT, that ALL the previous models (i have the pioneer dvr-109) using OFFICIAL firmware from pioneer ARE NOT BITSET CAPABLE, only using hacked/modified firmware will this be available to you (i don't know about the dvr-110 model as i have NO experience with it, i have the model PREVIOUS to this one) and using modified buffalo firmware, i CAN and DO booktype my dvr-109~ :)

anyways, using GOOD quality media makes a big difference, and firmware updates are a MUST~ i would STRONGLY suggest you ditch those Daxons and get some "good stuff" Taiyo Yuden (make sure they are genuine/purchased from a REPUTABLE dealer) or Verbatim~ :)

check my sig. for specifics~ :)

    good luck~

    docTY~

Kivory I browesed through some boards, and what I understand is that you took the flash from the Pioneer A09, plus the updated of 109 and plus another Pioneer program and you fooled your 109 to do bitsetting.

Is the Pioneer A09 the same breed as the 109, can I take the A09 genes and inclone my 110d applying the same procedure as above.

Beside the bitsetting, will I gain or lose performace or what are the advantages and disadvantes. Man this is interesting. LOL

This is a bit weird I returned my Memorex discs and they gave me Fitsuji made by

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:prodiscF01]
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Disc & Book Type : [DVD-R] - [DVD-R]
Manufacturer Name : [Prodisc Technology Inc.]
    Manufacturer ID : [ProdiscF01]
    Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4.71 GB (4.38 GiB)]
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ** INFO : Drive = PIONEER DVD-RW DVR-110D [FW 1.22]
    ** INFO : Write Capabilities = DVD+R DVD+R-DL DVD+RW
    ** INFO : Write Capabilities = DVD-R DVD-R-DL DVD-RW
    ** INFO : Disc = [DVD-R:prodiscF01]

tried to burn dvd and system froze.

Since I had no DMA on my hard drive, cause My DVD Burner was a slave to the Harddisk so XP will not give the system the DMA
So I put the hard disk alone as master and the DVD AS a secondary Master and the CD RW as a secondary slave.

Tried again to burn the dvd and voila it burned. on the Fitsuji.

I tried the Memorex, and system does not freeze.

I think its was the set up of having both the HDD and DVD burner together that froze the operation.

Now the problem I have is that my darn home DVD Player won't play the DVD I burned. it tells me "ERROR LOADING", I looked at the Manual and it says that the TOSHIBA Home DVD Player only accepts DVD VIDEO.

What can I do so my Home dvd player can play these DVD. TIA
Some one in the UK says he has no problem playing the DVD-R on his Home Toshiba SD2109. could it be the Region code. the home players says it will accept region 1 and All. So where do I see the region in Nero.
