Hi again well I done as you said downloaded the file and got the same message up saying the drive is not allowed to be updated

Hi Ripper i had no luck with the link you gave me, however i was able to find it, and download it, now hold your breath I have just downloaded to a DVD+R disk using Nero, so as it's late i will do another couple in the morning and let you for sure that the problem is solved, thanks for your help tonight

Hi Ripper, yes it was late I'm in the UK to, I went to the firmware page that was from the earlier like, and fromthere i was able to find the one you had been trying to send me. So far i have burnt 2 disk and no problems, so I hope it's safe to say you fixed the problem for me, and that thanks very much. Jim
