I will check that out for sure. I ended up getting it to work, I used the evox dash to enable and format G, then XBMX still said G was unavailable. I went to dvd2xbox and ripped a game on G ( I could see it there). When I went back to xbmxc G was there and showed me 172 GB, Cool. I wish I could have all of that on F though. I'll check out the link, thanks.

If you screw up formatting your HDD with xboxhdm 1.9, can you start over, reformat and still have it work or will the HDD be permanetly broken

dylanc when you removed the softmod did you do this from the HD or a rescue disk, the same thing that happened to you happened to me, so i was wondering if you could walk me through what you did.

I was able to restore from HDD - my LINUX install disk had all my C and E contents, and those had been trasnfered to my new internal HDD, so it worked fine.

In retrospect I think that all I needed to do was create a virtual C drive (not sure what that means, butI think it's what I needed). Do a google search and see if you can find a way to create a virtual C drive, that may be all that's missing. ( http://xguides.xbox-scene.com/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=UXE+Complete )

I also read about this tool: http://xguides.xbox-scene.com/tikiwiki/tiki-index.php?page=Chimps hd tool

    Seems mighty easy :)
