that 23:01 post of yours was stupid before you edited it out. don't ever do that again. this is a multi-national site with members of all races & religions so racism does not work here at all nor condoned, understand??
Yes ddp i understand ^.^ (no sarcasism), and for that signature thing you asked me witch mod i pmed about a sig? does that really matter...?
Well like i dont want him to get in s*** for not doing his job to notice my sig was to big (if its such a big deal) i prefer to keep my mouth shut sorry
I'd say this thread would look good in the safety valve, and the tag under this guy's name would look better if it listed him as being on a LONG vacation, considering his attitude here, and in THIS THREAD...
Back to the original topic... observent: If you are willing to spend THAT much, why would you even want to run it from home? Many companies on the Internet will host dedicated servers for you. Saves you much time, and trouble of installing cpanel/php/mysql/apache/security patches/updates/hardware... etc... Here is generally what you would be looking at: Dedicated Server Package Pentium IV 3.0 GHz (HT) 1024 DDR RAM 120 GB Hard Drive 3,000 GB of Bandwidth Free IP Allocations 100 Mbps Uplink 24x7 Phone Reboots O/S : Some sort of Linux $110.00 - $140.00 /month -------------------------------------------- Pentium IV 3.0 GHz (HT) 2048 DDR RAM 2x 120 GB Hard Drive 10 Mbps Unmetered Free IP Allocations 100 Mbps Uplink APC Reboot Port Included 24x7 Phone Reboots O/S : Some sort of Linux $200.00 - $240.00 /month Most providers you can customize your servers too (for fee), meaning you could put Windows 2003 Enterprise and get 4GB DDR, and a larger HD if you wanted. If that's a little extreme for your needs (most likely) then a basic hosting package would be fine. You can find those all over in all variety's, but generally speaking... 500MB Disk/10GB Bandwidth = $10.00/month 1000MB Disk/25GB Bandwidth = $15.00/month 2000MB Disk/100GB Bandwidth = $35.00/month Generally all hosting comes with cpanel, php, mysql, scripts, all that jazz all setup for you. Hope this helps!
I missed this post! I didn't know you already had the nice hardware. In that case, I agree with janrocks. Get a flipping T1 or something. If your ISP has a problem with you running a web server than YOU DO NOT HAVE A GOOD ENOUGH CONNECTION TO SERVE A LARGE WEBSITE.
wow its amazing how you people arent even *moderators*, 2 lil nerds have been almost stalking me for every post i make and to watch out for what im doing you guys have no life trying to piss me off but anyways if im going to be banned for sending a invitation code in a private message and having a signature toooo big? then let it be so that i get banned, and plus im not the fat ass nerds sitting behind computer screens pissing people of by *snitching*
This site is great because of how well moderated it is, by members and mods alike. If there were 1,000 script kiddies like you running around calling people they don't even know "fat" and abusing the rules of the forum, then knowledgeable people would not keep up with this site. As for the Torrent invite... you don't even HAVE to read the rules. At the top of that forum there is a sticky: "TORRENT INVITE TRADING IS NOT ALLOWED! ASK AND YOU WILL BE BANNED!!!"
i never even sent it to him LMFAOand hes the one who should be banned for posting his addy and asking i said i was gunna send him one to shut p
