    Fun with Vaio's
By the way, I ran the ENX-15 on a P3 500mhz, 256 ram with a ati graphics card w/8meg ram for over a year ok, until I replaced it with a P3 1ghz, 256 ram w/ on-board graphics and IT IS STILL GOING. Timer records every day. (Too bad no digital tuner).
I updated the zip for GigaPocket ENX-15 here:
    h__p://www.megaupload.com/?d=BU4WC6CG

I also am posting DVGate 2 Plus w/HDV,MV and DV support for any who lost it. DVGatePlus2.0 HDV.zip here:
    h__p://www.megaupload.com/?d=BLT8HYT6

Here are my drivers for MCE ENX-26. They are different than the ones used for GigaPocket.
    h__p://www.megaupload.com/?d=6DTMIR5U

On my MCE ENX-26, Graphedit can be used to access the drivers. Works very fast to access and dump out a mpeg2 file from tuner or line in, rather than the dreaded Click to DVD software. Try and come up with your own graphs and post. Graphedit and graph file here:
    h__p://www.megaupload.com/?d=6DKD9XQM

    Please listen:
I am troubled by the talk of people recieving money for these files that a number of people have posted.
    As per Sony license:
"Under this Agreement, Sony and it licensors grant you a limited license to use the program and accompanying online documentation for use only with the Sony products and not for resale."

If you own the Sony ENX- card, you should be entitled to have the files. Unfortunately Sony will only provide support for it's original configured PC's. And they are even out of the Desktop business now. (Except for maybe one high end model).

I have the first Sony Vaio (490) that came with Gigapocket, and at some point it simply stopped working. I'm running XP but I could revert back to Win ME but Gigapocket still won't work.
If I click the program to start I get a quick "out of range" message and the computer reboots. If I set the timer to record, it will. But if I view the recorded file with, let's say Windows Player all I see that was recorded was a red and white checkerboard and the audio is fine.
Somewhere I read Gigapocket doesn't function properly if the drives are not fat32. So I went backwards and reformatted to fat32. Didn't cure the problem. I used to get Gigapocket to run half way decent by resorting to the original video drivers/audio drivers that came with ME but I'd walk away and come back 5 minutes later to hear sound and a frozen vidoe frame.
It's a shame Gigapocket worked fine for me for about a year and then STB. I've read some of the posts here but nobody mentions the checkerboard screen. Maybe nobody tried renaming the extension so another app could play it.
I know if window media player updated from ver 7 I would have problems too with Gigapocket. But like I said, reloading the original recovery discs (containg ME) doesn't solve anything.
I suppose maybe if I was able to get my hands on a new 80GB drive... nah... probably a waste of time and effort and money ( if I could).

    mark_d,

I think your card is bad. To Confirm, maybe you could plug it into a friends XP pc, load software and test it.
Gigapocket for WinME used fat32 and Gigapocket for XP uses fat32 or NTFS.
It's dependent on the operating system.

It seems only GigaPocket can access the rec modes.
I never could access ENX-15 with graphedit, except for playback. You can playback any video with the right codecs. AVI's, MPGS, MP4s etc.

I got Giga Pocket to work on my system, and hooked up the cable to the card and the soundcard, but I only get sound out of one speaker. I tested the cable, and if I rotate the end that goes into the PC, it can switch between the left and the right channel, but won't get both channels to work

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello everyone,
I have a sony vaio PCV-W600G and i accidentally removed Giga Pocket from my system. The only thing I found was a japanese copy of Giga Pocket 3.0, so i downloaded it. The progam opened but i got an error window and then it would close everytime. Can anyone inform me if they know where i can get a copy of Giga Pocket 5.0? Any help will be deeply appreciated, thanx.

Heyy guys, I've had a problem with my timer recording manager since I got my computer. I've updated my giga pocket software through sony but It still hasn't fixed it. When I schedule something to be recorded the video always turns out blank. But if I open giga pocket manually and click record it works fine. So its something with the timer recording manager. Any idea what is going on?

I have some advice and I need some help.

Advice - DO NOT USE SONY'S SOFTWARE (SPECIFICALLY GIGAPOCKET)

Help - I need a driver for a PCVA-IMB5A TV tuner card (1-860-696-51ENX-26) that works with Win Media Center on a PCVRS-720G.

I'm not too knowledgable in computers, but I know what I learned and what I am told. I purchased this computer exactly 2 years ago for my new business. Exactly 1 year ago it crashed. After spending days on the phone with Sony tech supprt, I took it to my brother-in-law (who is a programmer who used to work for AMD) to help me fix it and recover all of my business info. He plugged the hard drive into his system and even with the industries most advanced tools, he had a lot of trouble accessing anything and locating any of my files. I lost EVERYTHING for my first year of business. What he did manage to find was that Sony secretly attaches a hidden .dat file to every program on the computer, even the ones I installed after buying it including insurance company software. I was not able to recover ANYTHING. It corrupted all of the storage files: .pst in Outlook and Excel, my customer info in company proprietary software, and all of my financial information in Quickbooks. I had been working with one of Sony's highest level techs before I took it to my brother-in-law, so I called him back to let him know what he had found. The tech said that he could not confirm or deny that Sony takes those invasive measures with their software. He also told me that my brother-in-law knew what he was doing and I was lucky that I had him working on it. Sony is the #1 company in the fight against piracy and their measures have gained a lot of attention. This is one of their meaures that most people will never be able to find.

Luckily I caught a Fry's special at the time and got a $100 computer to use for my work. My brother-in-law wiped the hard drive clean o the Sony and installed Win Media Center Edition. My $100 computer has served me surprisingly well for the last year, but it's had it's day. So now I'm back to the Sony that has just been stuffed in a closet for the last year. I know from the tech at Sony that the same TV tuner card was used in other models that came with Media Center, and the driver would work. My brother-in-law could not find the driver and told me to call Sony to get it. When I called the tech back to find the specific driver, he no longer worked for Sony. None of the other techs would give me any info and told me to reinstall the software it came with. It became a $1,700 paperweight for the next year. Now I need it.

Does anyone know the specific driver for this card on Win Media Center. I think the models that had it were the RBG30 series. If anybody could help, please let me know. My username can be reached (IM or Mail) on Yahoo. Thanks
