I need the orginial giga pocket 5.0. I reinstalled windows pro and the recovery cd wont work with it. Know where i can get that? I downloaded 5.5 and all updates for both 5.0 and 5.5 and it doesnt work.

    Mikie,
I don't have the GigaPocket 5.0. and matching libraries.
If original was XP Home, you may have to do an original recovery and then upgrade to XP Pro.

Your pc has a ENX-15 mpeg card.

Not sure if GigaPocket 4.3 will work, it may if you have the correct drivers installed. Actually GGigaPocketP 4.3 is "stable" version of GigaPocket.

    Hi agak,
I installed Windows MCE 2005 but my ENX-25 isn't recognized by the TV interface of Media Center 2005.
In this case, do you think itll work better if I install also Giga pocket?
I already downlauded the package of drivers you propose and installed everything except giga pocket and it doesn't work.
Tanks in adv for your support & experience ;-)

    Hi bseguino,

Windows MCE uses these drivers for ENX-26 Sony Mpeg RealTime card (SMRT)

    http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2G0G8IRQ

See if your MCE is using same ones. These work with mine, even did driver update in device manager and still works.

    No guarantees though

    agak,
Did you ever use Giga Pocket's timer recording function? If so, did you ever have the "Encode Overflow" problem? How did you fix it?

    ckwan,
Timer recording always works ok for me.
Sorry but I do not know what to do other than try restoring to original factory image.

    With my ENX-15 card, v4.3
With my ENX-26 card, I'm running MCE.
GigaPocket will not work on XP MCE, only XP.
Seems MCE uses different drivers and probably different libraries.

    agak,
My Giga Pocket originally came with PCV-RZ14G. It was later updated to 5.0 using download from the SONY web. The only way I know of to uninstall and reinstall the Giga Pocket from my computer is to do a complete system recovery. Do you have to do the same thing when you installed v4.3 on your computer? Would v4.3 work on my PCV-RZ14G also? Thanks for any opinion you may provide.

    ckwan,
v4.3 works with your ENX-15 card. Verify it is a ENX-25 card.
You can install the v4.3 on any Sony pc as long as you hexedit the .inx file and replace model name with your model name. I can do that for you if you want. I can give you the floppy disc files to verify your model name from your bios dmi. I will try to upload tonight v4.3, model check files and libraries.

    agak,
I am interested in your suggestion. Can you give me more details on how to proceed with all this?. First thing is how to find out what card I have. Do you mean ENX-15 or ENX-25?

    ckwan,
    Typo
    I mean ENX-15
It should say right on card.
It also is the card that has S video input and output jacks.
ENX-26 does not have a video output jack, only ant. and input jack.

    Agak,
Should I open the computer and look behind the TV input jack?

    ckwan,
On the back of your pc (the ENX-15 card) there should be a
    1) ant. jack
    1) mini audio in jack
    1) mini audio output jack
    1) s video in jack
    1) s video out jack

    ENX-26 has no output jacks

    ckwan,
    Here is v4.3 files.

    h__p://www.megaupload.com/?d=2S2L0WKA

Works perfect on a new install.
You never know with an previous installation.
setup.inx is edited to work on your PCV-RZ14G.
If it says not for this model, you will need to check your DMI model name.
Included a hexediter and DMI reader.

    Agak,
If I wish to use this v4.3 with ENX-15 on a non-Sony system. Is there any way I could do that? I upgraded all the parts till the only thing left is the origanal DVD/CD/HD-Drives, the OS is different though b/c I didn't want it to partition the drive into two parts. Since Sony didn't give me the option to change that and I get XP Pro free through my college I opted to do a new install. Would love to have the giga pocket software and remote working again though.
    Thank in advance,
    Systmwolf

    Systmwolf,

You would have to try and read the DMI model number.
Asus boards use it but not all boards.
Then hexedit the setup.ini file and replace the "PCV-xxxxxx" with your model name.
DMI reader floppy files are included in download.

    May work???

I need the recovery dvd for the model PCV-RS430G.
I bought from Sony a year ago and last month my hd lost all the data, when I tried to reinstall the system a notice that Sony send me the wrong DVD.
Now they don't have the DVD anymore!
Does anybody have the DVDs? If yes please tell me and for how much you would sell me?
    Thank you very much!!!

    betoFL,
    There are 2 versions.
PCV-RS4xx series: A8117-685-A (DVD disk version, WinXp Home)
PCV-RS4xx series: A8117-686-A (DVD disk version, WinXp Pro)
You will need the correct one or will OS not install.
