I found the dsco audio (I think that's what there called) channels for 4 & 5 so just moved those there instead works fine
Yeah the firmware is in eamo`s mark. The v1.05 is the one for Ireland. You`ll need a usb stick to download the firmware. I dont own one meself, but ive had a good look at one & they`re not a bad little b0x. You can record, pause live TV etc.
Hi Folks, I was wondering if anyone might be able to help with this. I got a new starview 4 today the usb one, i wanted to use it in another room, while it picks up the various channels and Epg can show whats on now, next later etc.. i dont get to see anything. In my old starview three i use to be able to go into Menu 1570 to change the Provider and Keydata, but this option isn't available on the starview 4? at least it doesn't bring up the providers menu using the 1570 key combo, so perhaps they moved or something? Anyways, any help greatly appreciated. Thanks System Info: Model C500 S/W ver 1.03 Bootver b-11
You have not put any firmware on it that's why, and the Emu has changed to a Keycode option, just same thing.
HI Guys, Could anyone advise me on the following regarding the starview 4 super usb. I have tried the following software versions to resolve with no result: Version 1.2, 1.5, 1.6 & 1.7 What happens is it goes off for a second and comes back on, but the colours are strange, like only red, green & blue then it flicks off for a second and comes back on. I dont think this is the service provider as i have an older 'Box' and thats working fine, im nearly sure its a software issue, because if it was the input source wouldn't it say 'Bad signal' or something? but this is like the box freezes for a second and comes back on. Another strange thing is if I have it in Epg mode looking at the channel in the small preview box it doesn’t happen. If anyone could assist I would much appreciate it as its doing my head in now  Many thanks & Kind regards,

Wanted to say cheers malci used your guidance and advice. Got the new sv4 today from your recommended site and all uploaded and working with no head aches for me or you lot lol. The box looks good and although i havent really had time to explore all that much would say this box is the way to go if like me you aint that hot at the tech side plug and play just follow the instructions available under malci scoucsers sig e.t.c. Thanks again to all you guys out there that put in the graft.
Your welcome, and nice to hear that you are up and running. It is a nice little box and easy to setup/firmware etc, no messy cables to give you an headache, and you have a nice PVR to boot, has it's limitations obviously, but still handy. Anyway enjoy it and good luck.
Morning all. Quick question.... Presumably my cable signal into the house is analogue. If I go and upgrade to digital (with nthell), will i a) get a better quality signal for my new HD TV, b) will my current Starview TheBox "work" (its a couple of years old, but works fine, apart from having to re-key in the codes there a couple of weeks ago), and c) with a digital line in, will i be able to use my current Starview box or a newer one (am thinking of buying a second one) Thanks lots C
Hi all! I've just received my new The Box Super USB from WIZARD SATELLITE and am well pleased with it! Great delivery time and super service. Just thought I'd let you guys know and say thanks for the thread - I thought the set-up would've been a struggle. But reading your posts made things a breeze! Cheers everyone! ;-)
hi every1 i have atsrview 4 usb pvr want to know where to place the hardrive and what type of hard drive i need
Exterior USB connected HDD, that's why it is called Starview The box USB, so place it where you want as long as it is connected via the USB port to your box.
