Can anyone help, I'm trying to flash the v3.00 firmware with no success. I'm using a usb-serial adapter (com settings correct) I have my box on standby, but everytime I try to flash GTROM loader says Flash Update fail. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

There is alos the option of direct transfer from a box that is already flashed, its so simple but you need a box that is already flashed with what you want

Hi Tafsir, I've tried with the box on, and with it on standby but can't get it to work. Do I have to remove the old firmware first?

Does anyone know how to get the key codes from a non scrambling eurovox to use as the codes for a scarambled starview????
Or where do all you clever guys get the codes each time they are posted? Also sad to see helpers banned from the site, everyone should forget the fighting and get on with it. MOD please let Tezz back on if only for the dopes like me who struggle with this stuff.
    Cheers

yea bt if uve only got 1 serial port on your pc and it is used by the monitor then you need to connect the other f end of the serial null modem cable to your pc using a usb to rs232(m) lead.

thats the only way surely as most laptops have 9 pin serial port and desktops only usually have one used by the monitor.

Good question Johnfb, I could do with knowing that too, as I have a eurovox, and all my mates are on the starviews and digivoxs. Does anyone know of any firmware for the digivox!?

Mikeygb, It was my understanding that a clone would not even take 3.00, are you sure your box is a clone?

I'm sorry to ask stupid questions, but I'm new at this. Earlier someone said to use 258 for clone boxes. But surely that's an old file now? At the moment I've 3.00eE on it but it keeps freezing for 10 odd seconds every so often. Please help....

    Thanks

From what I know, 300eE will go on clones but it may cause them to die after a few weeks...

If you look through the forum you will find links to 257 and 300... they are all there

Hey! My box just went off again today. Keeps saying data is being updated like the last time it went off. Is anyone else having the same problem?
