    Compaq 755

    flash back to 257

Instead of buying a more expensive eurovox, why not buy an original sv. can get them on ebay for £75 and run 3.ooeE?

when you flash to 300 it auto updates the keys

flash back to 257 and keeps the new keys until the keys get changed again.

do this everytime it goes down

Compaq, there is the option to set default keys, slect this, then reflash 257 and the keys will be changed for you BUT when the keys change again you have to repeat this procedure. If you have an original box I think you can leave 300 on it...

    Thanks for that Richards5.

So, everytime it goes off, just put 300 then put 257 back on....

you can flash to ver300 on a clone to get the new codes. then go back to your old firmware as long as you do not power it off at the back it should stay working.

yeah, as long as you set defualt keys as turk said

seems like the safest option, better than running 300 on a clone and risking a burnout

unless youve got a warranty that is

No point in having a warrant if your clone seller dissapears.

what's to stop the cloners cloning a new front onto the old starviews and calling it the box. We will have to watch out for this as it wont be long before somebody does it.

I bet theyve already done it

from what I have heard I would stay well clear from the box.

what we need is a list of reputable sellers that give people proper warranty's

how can it kill genuine boxes, that don't make sense.

i thought it killed clones because of the smaller processor and therefore overheating?
