Thanks Turk73 i will keep my eyes open.

 

the clones were copies of the original starview box which was smaller. I think that is where the confusion arises. The remote is the best clue as the genuine one only has a single groove on the back.I hope this clears the matter up for people.

 

before the 260 that flattened clones was fine for me until the other day and the real 300 no probs at all.

 

In response to everybody who helped me with version 3 on the pvr. thankyou it works, just got to test it now see if it auto updates. thanks again. used to think i was clever till i came on this forum and now i feel really thick.

thats the clone ONLY version m8 not sure y but they say NOT to use it on genuine box so i take no responsability

 

ive just loaded the v300 for clones onto my box (Northwest) working 100% at the moment (foingers crossed ~ touch wood ect ect)

Yes mate you have a genuine box and should be able to update to ver300 without any problem.

 

ferg my box is still on, im expecting it to go off anytime now though

 

Flashed my box to Version 3. Solved all issues, also looks like the widescreen issue has been fixed (Oh Joy!!)

Just to let you know the Irish boxes are still up and running ok at the moment

 

Starview Cloned 3.00 firmware, untested by myself

Just linked it up here as server is a much faster downloadable source and can be used as a backup if you like

hi thanks jakehikky I will give it a go later.
Had to call the N**Hell guy out today all my system packed up apparantly they are upgrading but there old street boxes cant cope and keep jamming up hopefully they will lay off the codes for a bit

do I need to flash over this afterwards? I read you need to do this on this forum somwhere
