Mines gone off as well Teeside area.Is it worth risking the 260 image?

 

if you can afford a new box then go for it!! im staying well away from it though. i already got 1 fried box, havent got room for 2

 

dont bother with 260 as this wont work either
i have tryed them all and none work

tezzer,i think the reason my box is still on is that its been on from 8 this morning ,i think the cc have updated later on this morning so i bet as soon as i turn my box off mine will go too ,so i will try and keep it on today other sites are also reporting it going off nationwide so lets just keep our fingers crossed for a quick release update

someone phoned me to say they dbox 2 had gone off so i unpluge my starview and tryed my dbox 2 only to find that it had gone off,
when i put the starview back in , bingo down it went,

I never turned my box either, it was on the whole night and when I switched on the tv, it was updating itself and the update was at 500% and still going. Lets hope that the update comes out soon.
And jobbers I hope you don't suffer with the same problem as all of us lol.

 

fatal to speak isnt it lol,as we speak mine has just gone black with the updating box symbol on the screen. we wait with baited breath !!!!

 

Hi Guys,

My box is down in Belfast. Phoned my supplier and they said that n** were "rolling " the scrambled channels ( whatever that means ) and it should update itself soon.

As someone who is new to this game,I don't know if I have been fobbed off with a phoney excuse or being told the truth. I suppose time will tell.

all my channels are gone except bbc1 to channel 5
any help plz

no help is available for you yet ,,
wait till later maybe the upgrades will be posted,,
its usually a day before its sorted

 

i have just got my starview back on by changing the keys manualy

you might have to flash it with 258 afterwood but i am still on 257 and its working ok up to now

i just got a starview this morning. when i scan it says no channels found. Any help ould be gratefully appreciated.

when u do an auto scan make sure at the top it says what provider u are on.,... for eaxmple NTEEL or teellle weessst

 

Also my box has version 260 software. should i change this? if so why?

 

dam, seems like n*l did change the signals (london). i almost thought i was my box. such a shame cus i almost had the channels sorted in my prefered order.

i tried all of the differernt providers. some of them fail some of the seem to work but no channels are found.

 

hi Tezzer when you say try the manual key change at your own risk do you mean it could fry the box if it is done incorrectly and not be factory reset.thanks

 

hey Tezzer, i tried changin the keys but still nothing changed. just says "data being updated". still on 257.

 

Tezzer done the manual key change and box working ok now and still on 257 image.Hope it's not just a temporary fix.We will have to wait and see.
