maybe this is a bad day to start asking questions i got a starview box monday and it was working fine.I live in dublin south and i was impressed so i ordered another starview box which arrived from the UK today and i have tried scanned and scanned and nothing is showing up do i have to load any software onto it for it to work here in Ireland? I have just this minute received an emailform the uK seller of this box asking me to send it back so he can either update it or give me a refund. do i really have to send it back can i update it myself??? please help guys

i'd like to thanks all thos that helps with the key. just to let people know, the key for ex c&w works without a flaw.

all i did was change the keys, full factory reset, rescan...(>>insert original steps here<<)...... and voila it works, and i gained another 38 channels.

just for ppl with ex c&w area this code DOES work

00: 1F EE 87 F9 E3 FA 2A AB

Hi, I am in manchester and just hooked up my new starview yesterday.
Last night it was working fine.
I got home from work this evening to find all channels except BBC etc to be "updating" but never actually doing anything.

After inputting the relevant code above I CAN CONFIRM IT IS NOW BACK ON!!!!!!
WOOOOOHOOOOO! CHEERS GUYS!

Hi people, could someone tell me if i need to hook my ntl box upto my starview box via a splitter?

At the moment im just using the starview box, but have heard people talking about the NTL box needing to talkback to NTL, will this cause me any problems?

THe Replay Lite's don't seem to be working on NTL Dublin WEF today... anyone know why and how to fix it...only have RTE2 and TV3 all others say 1800 scrambled

 

New to the site so elo all, and THANKS for the post about getting my SV box back up and running .even sorted me mates out .just quick question ,ive done a restore to factory settings before i saw the post about getting it back up and running with the codes ,and every thing is fine but i dont have sky sp. 2 and few others.but every thing else is fine .do i just do auto scan or will it give me duplicate channels .any help appreciated,thanks again

 

Something went wrong when i tried to enter the new codes into my sisters and my box. I entered them manually into mine with no problems then decided to do a S/W transfer from box to box with the Null cable. The problem is my sisters box now asks for a password when i hit the Menu button (im trying to enable EMU).

Does anyone know what happened or the password? Its not 0000, 1111, 1234 or 2004. Have i fried the box? Please advise.

manual scan with network scan enabled wii find the missing channels. it will not duplicate.

i currently have software 2.60

should i downgrade to a lower version (ie 257) and if so why.

the ntl codes have been changed

heres the n** Ireland keys:
KEY 0 = 3b d5 b1 4a 53 e0 71 6c
KEY 1 = cb c9 bb a1 1f 39 ff 86

you will have to input these codes manually in the nagravision menu.
