WHEN I ENTER THE CODES ON MY FRIENDS STARVIEW IN NAGRA-VISION THE BOX TURNS OFF ANY OTHER WAY OF DOIN IT???

 

Hi people,

I am new to this starview thing but need some help!

How often do these boxes go down?

Do you need special software to update them?

Arent these boxes suppose to be auto update ones, so as soon as they mess with the frequency our boxes should update them selves?

My couzins box has been running on 4 a year now and as soon as it goes blank all they do is switch it off and then back on and everything is working! Which box is this?????

with regards to the N*L boxes secret menu you unplug the power supply press and hold the up and down arrow plug power back in while holding the 2 buttons untill the blue menu screen pops up not sure how reliable this info is as i'm unable to check it due to no longer having N*L just starview anybody sort it out let me know i have a couple of friends with dodgy N*L boxes that dont work anymore

Hi all, nice one Dooby2oon with the key codes. A bit confusing though with the second code, 01 and the key data that belongs to it, not sure you can enter that anywhere. I just changed the first 2 digits of the key data along with the key number to 01 based on what you recommended, that was enough to get it working depending on your CSP, in my case Teleeeewest. Thanks again!!!

hi ppl, i have just had a new starview box from ebay (£75) about half of the channels are scrambled and there is a yellow icon next to the channel name, can anyone help me? thanks

 

• Press menu (ignore what is on the screen) and press 1 5 7 0, this takes you to a secret menu,

Go down to emu and turn it on.

you want to read page 42, on how to enter the keys , so you can start watching, till the new firmware comesout

Have just changed N** codes and up and running except some stations are still scrambled - some have good signal and others have no signal. Should I rescan and if so will this affect the current stations. I am in Dublin. Any suggestions.

 

Hathaway, did you update both keys ?? Did you press "ok" after changing data for each key ?? I could be wrong, but if I understand this right.....Irish N*L uses symbol rate 6885 & 6887.So, maybe key00 is for channels on 6885, and key01 is for channels on 6887. Dont quote me on this, but I think thats how it works. That would explain why some channels decode, and the others dont. Both keys must be updated, and remember to press "ok" after changing each one.

Thanks for the info and getting me up and running again but as most people did i did a scan first before updating the keys but now i have the new keys and the channels are working now when i do a scan im unable to pick up and sky movie channels the only one i get is sky movies 9.

any ideas why please ..

Can anyone put my mind at rest! I have had a starview for a few weeks now with not a problem and as previously stated im pretty certain my box is a clone.as with the happenings of the last two days with the code changes my question is when it comes to having to flash with a new bin file will there be support for the many of us who unwittingly bought clone boxes? By that i mean a file that will not kill the box like the recent 260.thank you for any help

there is no guarantee that the new software will not kill the clones.
