Starview Expert-**no email posting or BANNED**

Hi guys can anyone help.I'm trying to download the new bin file but when i press download it says cant open serial port cannot find file.I have tried all 4 comms with the same reply.Any ideas

 

With my sv connected to my laptop via the correct leads.I open the gtrom loader and choose the new bin file press to download on sv but it wont open just says can't open serial port.and last error- the system cannot find the file specified.please help

it,s your rs232,theres 2 types,..1 for data,1for patching,..i think you have the data 1,..happened to me a year ago,..go on ebay look up crossover cable/null modem cable,...or if your near a maplins pop in,..they stock em

 

if your using a laptop you will need the usb serial driver
or it wont work

Hi ican you help, as my box keeps flashing auto update, all my channels have gone off, i have tried all codes but still not working, i think i need a provider ID, or am i doing something wrong? Thanks

 

if it is a genuine box then flash it with 3.00ee

the manual key entry method is only a temp fix these keys get rolled on a regular basis
best to get a good bin file and flash the box as this will auto update the key rolls
other wise try and find the keys all the time / a pain in the neck/

3.00ee works ok for me but some areas it freezes
so not ok for everyone

I have tried adding the new codes for all the 3 or 4 cable companies listed in the debates so far. However my box has a list of about 15 cable companies with different codes!! Since we are supposed to change all the old codes to new; how and where am I going to get codes for all these different suppliers. I thinking of updating the software from my 527 to the latest release. Can anyone advice.
Does anyone else have a box with so many cable companies included in their list of suppliers.

 

you only use the codes for your cable provider.

Howdy guys, kinda new to this. My Starview is banjoed too. I entered all the new N*L codes and when I try to exit outta all the menus it only gets as far as the Language menu, Even when I restore all settings, unplug etc..... All that appears is the language menu. Any ideas how the hell I can get rid of this menu?

I just tried that to no avail, When I turned it back on the first thing that came up was the Language Menu again. Any other ideas for me , getting desparate now.

As anybody flashed 3.00 and blown there box still none the wiser on which of these photos on earlier pages are clones as i have the box's that it says are clones but there in purple box's and have the real remotes if the pictures are anything to go off ???
