i am big into techno, specificially house and industrial. my favorite dj's are Basement jaxx and Dieselboy. you should be more specific in the genres you ask about
hi i quite like ambient trance, sort of mellowed out techno as i'm a youngee turning oldy... POO - WHERES MY DRUGS MA!
Erm... Neither Basement Jazz or Dieselboy are techno... Dieselboy is jungle or drum and bass depending on who you are talking to and Basement Jaxx is deep house is it not? Techno is a specific genre, not a catch-all term for anything electronic...
black,,tend to agree with u on both points,,basement are truly deep hse.. my fav genres are house(turntables24 is one of the best for house i think), ambient lounge(stephane P and claude challe) acid jazz, alternative, and also hip hop(can u beat that ..guess i like most kinda music except pure pop.. and dela.iluv most of the gys on urt list except rammstein and korn(havent heard them actually)godsmack and linkin are my current favs. and no i dont like techno except hard ttrance at some freaked out parties keep me kicked. Nik
Yeha I like techno, I like heavy metal and such as well. I don't mind anything that's entartaining. But I really that "moaning" to bass that is called "Pop" and "RnB". Btw, I'm trying to get into the Australian DJ/MC/Producing scene, can anyone help me?
For those on this thread that are into techno, check out this mix from the UK's Paul Edge... http://www.djpauledge.com/phxmix2.MP3 He has a pretty awesome website too http://www.djpauledge.com Check it out!!
I used to like the likes of Tiesto and Paul Oakenfold but they seem a bit too soft for me now, am into the likes of Johan Gielen, Yoji Biomehanika (sometimes Judge Jules) and mostly anything to do with Trance Energy and Sensation Black\White.
NO techno here I like like heavy, bluesly, raw IN YOUR FACE Rock and Roll like someone else said iam to old to listen to it lol
isnt techno the bastard son of disco?how could you repeat one chorus throughout a song over and over again without putting someone in an insane asylum?
Bastard son of Disco? - maybe some forms, definately not completely. Electronic music first came about in 60's if i remember corretcly. The first sampler, the [somebrand] CMI (CMI-Computer Musical Instrument) was in inveneted in Australia by two guys (never bothered remebering thier names). The first recording artist to use it was some American rapper. A style of music called kruat rock emerged in Germany from people experimenting with electronic music. I have recognised elements of clissical and folk tunes in trance/techno. Repeating the same chorus over and over again? - nah, that's just crap techno. Drug Extasy? - I like techno/trance/anyothernames and I'm not on it. Though, many poeple find that they only enjoy this music when on drugs, and that's not just eccy. Btw, I also like rock/metal/thoseothernamesforit
i have a bass addiction, but as i can't stand rap, i suck in the death metal and techno. can't help it! it makes me feel gooooooooood!
