    What does Jtagged involve???

It only flashes when I turn the box on from the on/off switch. I'm still getting about 10 channels through the box!

When I try to install the firmware it says "It is not a file of this IRD".

    I have RTE1, Setanta Ireland, 3e, UKTV Gold+1, Living TV+1, Comedy Central+1, Virgin 1, Comedy Extra. Film Four+1

you need to make sure its .bin

if you try to put a EXE or RAR file onto a stick it will give you that problem, read the the above link and follow it to a T, its all covered in that thread above

make sure you format your memory stick in your box then come back to the computer and put the firmware on memory stick do a factory reset on your box first, and follow the instructions, if you still cant put that firmware on then ill give you another bin file that should give you all your channels, without going into menu 1570 and turning it on but try that above and follow the instructions that mickah gave you
sorry lads not hijacking just trying to help,
also mickah would it not be better if i gave him my data.bin file of my own box to try instead?
also ive seen a few people coming on threads saying/ It is not a file of this IRD, but they always got it sorted in the end
    what does that mean exactly

Send it to him if ya want mate, but retyping stuff for people defeats you creating a how to thread in the first place. Its what they are trying to put onto the mem stick

"It is not a file of this IRD" means he has used firmware from another Starview model and not the Starview 4 firmware, has not unpacked the correct firmware . Or he has a clone.

That has been his trouble since the outset.
