lol yea it almost tastes like Caramel too.

It's Dulce de Leche. next time I'll try cooking it long enough to make it into some sort of chewy candy.

 

get yourself a candy thermometer.

Yea I probably should. I don't make it on a regular basis and plus I pressure cooked it. I don't think a candy thermometer would have worked then.

Hi Jo, I'm back.

Just spent a week in Mexico with the church doing charity work (I thought I told you about it in our last conversation?) I just got back and need to get a new phone tomorrow.

Anyway, lost my cell phone (or did someone want it more than me), so no way of calling home, sorry !

I was way out in the boonies (not sure even have cell antenna coverage)

So I thought I would post pics of what I actually made.

Banoffee Pie(Banana+Toffee Pie, I made this) and Strawberry Cake(mom made this).

 

Since I'm NOT a big sweets guy, I thought that some good old fashioned breakfast items might be in order. Sorry if there are any repeats but hey who would really know... hehehee. (warning to those with DIAL-UP... this is a mondo post!!!!)

Damn mr. greenie that breakfast stuff looked so good and soooo unhealthy. Rule of thumb the more appetizing food appears, the worse it is for ones health. LMAO I'll take the good looking food and roll the dice.
