Good LAWDY tho... they'd cost you a small fortune. Fred you do need to take a trip for more than that but I recommend that you do experience a good old fashioned Crawfish (Crayfish) boil!!!
greensman is it you or garmoon that lives out in the boonie way, I know it's one of you, both me and the wife love crayfish, like I said before you cannot get them here of course, every once in a while if you go to one of the foriegn markets you might find them there, but in no way are they fresh, anything shipped over I don't have to tell you about. I'm talking about being in somebody's back yard or picnic, shindig or whatever it called thats the way to go, fresh out of the bayou and thats what I'm talking about, damn I'm getting a tongue woody just thinking about it.
It's that COON A$$ garMOONy!! hehehe. He and BigToxy69 live in LA (Louisiana) if I remembers correctly.
@gm We need a correction on that issue! WE LIVE IN PARADISE! You'd need to bring big bucks to the table for those delicacies endo posted. Due to all the cold weather including snow and 4 other warnings of snow, crayfish are trading at about $4.50lb boiled. No Cajun in his right mind would pay that much. Tailmeat per # is $13. We have made many stews so far but no boiled. The good news is that crawfish will be about in August. A Rarity. And a whole lot cheaper. Jumbo lump crab meat is $20/# Shrimp and Oysters are plentiful and spring is here. Drooling yet? Life's good. But we don't need any more foreigners here so keep this a secret.
