agreed. try reading a long text done in red for no reason. now try that in multi-color as some idiot or idiots will do it if multi-colors are brought online. i think drd has already said no on that tho.

People should definitely be more mature! For illustration purposes, it would be a plus. Such a shame people ruin it for others ;)

I'll stop talking of subject now :p

When you look at other forums, with the 500x500 animated smileys, multicoloured text in comic sans and giant font, it looks disgusting. aD is fine how it is, large sigs included. There are a few poor souls still with 56k, but perhaps more importantly, a fair few people will browse aD on their phones now, I certainly do. Large sig after Large sig causes pages to take quite a long time to load.

The irony is Shaff, the picture in your sig didn't need to be any smaller, 400x77 was regulation size, it was just saved in a stupid format. Had you compressed it better, you'd have been within the rules :D

:p i know its an easy fix, i have the same size one, optimised for other forums, i just used the small one for, as one would put it "t3h lulz!!1!.

yeah a mobile friendly forum would be very nice.

not surprised considering its an ATI chip.

though PS3 looks like crap compared to the PC, so its not like its a huge improvement. BTW i would recommend using a 360 controller for driving and a kb/m for running/shooting. much better experience.

DXR: Do you have the PS3 version to compare it to? It could well be the same. In my experience the Xbox 360 has the texture settings higher, but the PS3 has the lighting settings higher. Personally I prefer textures over lighting, but there are a few occasions when the PS3 result looks plainly better. Either way though, without reaching anywhere near max detail a PC will usually dump on the graphics of either console, in part due to the resolution limit of the consoles (typically 1280x720 for the Xbox 360, 1024x640 for the PS3)

    Lost Planet 2 Benchmark
    DirectX9 mode
    Minimal: Radeon HD2900 Pro/HD3850/HD4670/HD5570 or above, Geforce 8800GTS G80/8800GS/9600GSO G92/GT220 or above
Reduced: Radeon HD3870/HD4700 series/HD5700 series or above, Geforce 8800GT/9800GT/GTS250 or above
Moderate: Radeon HD4890/HD5830 or above, Geforce GTX275 (not 280)/460 or above
    Good: Radeon HD4870X2 (95%)/2x HD4890 (68%)/2xHD5830 (46%) or above, Geforce GTX295/2x GTX280 (83%)/2x GTX285 (59%)/2x GTX460 (68%)/2x GTX465 (62%)/2x GTX460 1GB (56%)
    Optimal: 2x Radeon HD5870 (99%)/3x HD5850 (128%) or above, 2x Geforce GTX480 (79%)/3x GTX470 (121%) or above
Extreme: 4x Geforce GTX480 (399%) only [Extremely unlikely]

    DirectX11 mode
Minimal: Radeon HD5670/ Geforce GTX460 or above [way beyond requirements, no lower-end DX11 products available]
Reduced: Radeon HD5770/ Geforce GTX460 or above
Moderate: Radeon HD5870/ Geforce GTX470 or above
    Good: 2xRadeon HD5870 (92%)/3x HD5850 (119%)/ 2xGeforce GTX460 (99%)/2x GTX465 (85%)/2x GTX460 1GB (77%)/2x GTX470 (49%) or above
    Optimal: 4xRadeon HD5870 (286%)/3x Geforce GTX470 (163%)/3x GTX480 (114%) or above
    Extreme: N/A

Another game to tick the 'N/A' box, and it may as well do so in DX9 mode too, for all it matters.
The game starts out neutrally biased but as the demand increases, it rapidly sways towards the nvidia side, topping out at a whopping 115% bias. This is likely to be due to the game's excessive demand (which places even cards like the GTX480 at the edge of playability, even with the huge bias) that plays to the advantage of the Fermi architecture. It is also likely that the DirectX11 part of the game includes heavy tesselation.
In DX9 with no AA (where most people will have to settle), even at high resolutions, the GTX470 is nibbling at the HD5850's heels, and the HD4890 can keep up with the GTX275/285/460/465, dramatically similar as they all are.
Turn up the AA, however, and the GTX470 can equal the HD5870's minimum frame rate even at low res, though the DX10 cards remain in a similar position. Up the res as well and the GTX460 can keep the same minimum as the HD5850, and the GTX470 begins to creep ahead of the HD5870. Despite this, the HD4870 is still ahead of the GTX260-216. ATI's downfall in this title is definitely DirectX11.

With DX11, even at 1280x1024 with no AA the GTX470 substantially outpaces the HD5870, and the GTX480 steamrolls it. The HD5850 is barely equal to the 768MB GTX460 as well. At 1920x1080 the GTX460 overtakes the HD5870, and the HD5850 is slower than all of nvidia's DX11 offerings at any price.
Turn up the AA and the HD5870 is destroyed by the GTX460 768MB less than half its price. The situation extends at high resolution, with GTX470 a full 100% faster than the HD5850.
Put simply, to play Lost Planet 2 in DirectX11, you must have a Geforce card. The feature may as well not be enabled on ATI hardware.
Thankfully (?) DX11 mode is so demanding that a £360 GTX480 is limited to 1680x1050 if you want to keep 30fps, and since AA has almost no effect on Fermi cards in the game (I'm curious about its implementation given how slight the performance change is) that situation remains even with AA disabled, and on that basis, DX9 mode it may as well be until the next generation architecture, by which time ATI can hopefully start climbing the mountain of DX11 bias back into the realms of competition.
As it stands now, getting a minimum of 30fps at 1920x1200 with 8xAA enabled would take £450 of geforce, but at least £1000 of Radeons.
Perhaps the actual game is lighter? Sadly, I doubt it.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days

Minimal: Radeon X800XT/X1800 series/HD2600XT/HD3650/HD4570 or above, Geforce 7800GT/8600GTS/9500GT/GT220 or above
    Reduced: Radeon HD2900 Pro/HD3850/HD4670/HD5570 or above, Geforce 8800GTS G80/8800GS/9600GSO G92/GT240 or above
Moderate: Radeon HD3870/HD4700 series/HD5700 series or above, Geforce 8800GT/9800GT/GTS250 or above
Good: Radeon HD4890/HD5830 or above, Geforce GTX280/275/GTX460 or above
Optimal: Radeon HD5850 or above, Geforce GTX480 or above
    Extreme: 2xRadeon HD5870 (100%)/3x HD5850 (129%) or above, 2x Geforce GTX480 (88%)/3x GTX470 (136%) or above

Chalk & Cheese to the previous title.
Yup, it'll run (in some form) on a 6 year old graphics card. Not only that but it's actually an ATI-biased title, with the HD5870 matching or beating the GTX480 all the way up to 1080p inclusive.

nah i'm afraid not, but you would think the PS3 having an nvidia and all would help it along...save the fact its just a heavily modified 7 series GPU i guess it wouldn't help that much.

A good example of how biasing varies is in the post I made above yours - in Lost Planet the nvidia bias really shines through in DX11, but not in DX9. Needless to say, consoles don't have DX11.

Doesn't bother me much. I like options, but I'm reasonably content with the current options. Somethings wrong with your link...
