UPS? That'd be me We try. USPS may be generally cheaper, but they make up for it in taxes! They're government, UPS is a business. Sam, please do me a favor. I just took this color accuracy test. I scored an 18(lower = better). Would you take this test with a wonderful IPS monitor? I'm curious if you can ace it! My vision/acuity is quite good, so now I'm REALLY looking at my Samsung with a raised brow LOL! I'm neither color blind, nor tone deaf! I'm quite good at distinguishing differences whether it's visually or auditory. http://www.xrite.com/custom_page.aspx?PageID=77 I'm not far now from purchasing the Dell U2410
:O This is really quite difficult. As good as my monitor is, I think it's likely to be me letting it down rather than the other way round. Also, I do have the colours on it tweaked slightly to be more pleasing to the eye. By default the colour temperature seemed too high. I'm having a stab at this now, taking my time over it, I'll let you know how I get on
Sam, I got the same score you did with my new Asus ML-228-H TN Panel 1080p monitor. Not too bad for an old guy who will be 67 in 8 days! LOL!! Nice to know that I can still see! Best Regards, Russ
What's infuriating, is looking at that results screen, it's blindingly obvious to me which ones are out of place...
You guys are lame that was easy even on my Samsung 245BW (TN style) monitor. I scored "0" ZERO (PERFECT!).
Wise A$$! ROFLMSOAO!! You're just not as decrepit as I am, and I do need new glasses! LOL!! Best Regards, Russ
Hey! When you get going, it means your still alive! LOL!! All in good fun my Friend, all in good fun! Warmest Regards, Russ
Ain't that the truth! :O I'm almost done with my Callaway Golf Tounament Handicap tool, actually Excel 2007-2010 works great but 97 version I'm having to re tool, and have finished the USGA Handicap Index Tool would you like me to send them to you? Best Regards, Steve
I've always used UPS and never had an issue. Always on time, reasonable pricing, and I know my UPS route driver on a first name basis. BTW I scored a 4
Thanks Steve. I wouldn't mind taking a look at it. I don't follow that much sports these days. I about live on the computer! LOL!! I also read a lot and fix computers. BTW, I did give you my email, right? Best Regards, Russ
Yes I have your email haven't listened to your concerto yet though but have a friend that did and plays the pipe organ too. I'll get at it once I've finished this spread and will get back to you. Stevo P.S. Anyone have another color test?
Yeah! 3Tb hard drive is on the way. I feel a bit funny doing it right now, being I want the Dell monitor, but I'm fairly confident I'll be able to get another part time job in the near future. There are two temp agencies in town. I'm hoping one of them can get my foot in the cheese factory's door I've worked in a food processing plant before. It's my belief that I should be able to adapt quickly. Plus my current boss recommended them. Sure wish I had a Mobo with EFI though. That'll happen next tax return time though. BIG upgrade next year
Why a 3TB? I assume they're much cheaper in the US. I can buy three 2TB drives for almost the same price as one 3TB here in the UK (3x£50 vs £140)
Multiple reasons. I love to experiment, It's currently the largest internal available, and perhaps I'm attempting to help drive the cost down. Let's put it this way. 4 2TB drives equal 8TB. 4 3Tb drives equal 12Tb. I can hold 50% more data in my tower this way. Perhaps next year I'll build a storage array. By this time next year, there'll be even bigger drives I like new toys sam Lets just say, my drives fill quickly. A 3tb will not fill quite so quickly.
