you all are so funny, i appriciate all your relies. even some of the off colored one being in jest were funny. sorry for delay in responce ,was away for a week . i have rectified the problem. i dismantled the satalite DVD-DRIVE , disconnected the stand by hard drive and am about to attempt to re-connect in a different way and re-re-assign in a hopefully more intellegent way.
and to Gwynne? i am a female and come from a diffrent culture then thee,i do not have problems jesting with males in a flitatious way as an aside, it not being the main course of my technical needs.

funny, you never said you were trying to extract info from a satellite's hard drive... it can be done, but i need to know if your using dish, direct, orion, voom.... which one, there are lots more !!!

and as long as you can tolerate the cracks.... as they always happen, it will continue.. cuz it has made this thread very very funny....

 

shalom, first/i am sorry if i mistated the term of satilite DVD Drive. i ment an EXTRA DVD DRIVE hooked up with USB cord and assigned as "g: first then after going to manager, assinging it as PRIME Drive. also hooking up my old 200gb. hard drive (also) as a satilite , and attempting to draw from it all the old tried and true programs. (no success). it CAN be done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i don't completely know how as yet, but I SHALL learn!!!! (for i am a woman , and I SHALL SERVIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!lol lol lol.
