Torrent VS Newsgroups

and where can i get files to download to the newsgroup program...specifically xbox and movies is what i want...and if you know any sites where i can get software that would be of help also...thanks

 

well you would first starting by downloading a newsgroup client

i use grabit found here

then you would have to find out your isp's news group server in some cases its hard to find

then you will recieve a list of topics and check the ones that apply to you your gonna want the alt.binaries

 

okay downloaded the program and installed it where should i go from here

rogers hi-speed internet...and this thread will only let me send messages every 3 minutes is there any way to take that off...or u got messaging

 

rogers high speed dont have a news group server i use to have it so that basicly means your out of luck as far as news groups go

and bout the 3 min thing im not sure never had that prob

news goups are good but torrents get the job done just not as fast

 

dam...is there any other ways...aside from torrents

is that a good site for movies and x box games....and when i download files i burn it thru dvd decryter right..also does bitspirit run fast...do u happen to know in Ontario what service is good for hi speed and works wit newsgroups

 

well i live in oshawa ontario and i use sympatico and it works good for me

that site is good for anything if you can find it there but my fav site is torrentspy.com

i get most of my stuff from news groups

those sites useually do the job

 

o ye...ima prob get sympatico then because i live in ajax so its pretty close to you..so i guess it works wit newsgroups...yo in bitspirit can u speed up downloads or anything

 

well bitspirit doesnt really speed up your downloads when you use torrents it is mainly based on the number of seeders which is the only reason why it is not as good as news groups but bitspirit seems to me to run better then the other clients

my knowledege of the xbox is above normal my boy does that stuff nah i never herd bout that place i get all my mods like that from pacific mall

o ye do u know if they do xbox mod down there cuz i went last week but couldnt find a store..

im notsure bout the xbox there was a store in the pacific mall that did it but they got radied and shut down

but i know there is a store that does it but the greenchips aren't cheap they are like 220 and up
