    that's why I have an 11 foot pole... just for the things I wouldn't touch with a 10 Ft..

    I tried to give adwcleaner a shot, my norton keeps shitting it down, any suggestions?

    The problem is Norton, shut it down before running AdwCleaner..
    Go to -> Here for your reference on how to disable Norton..

    Cnet is a nightmare use Filehippo and their autoupdate checker its great!

    i don't use any autoupdater as i get the latest drivers from the chipset manufacturers manually.

    @ddp, That's not the kind of updates he is talking about.. Programs not Drivers. And you can get all your driver updates delivered to you by setting your windows to update them automatically.

    Secunia PSI is extremely good for updating everything except drivers.

    windows updates are not always correct as i've got the wrong ones a few times from them, mostly video & sound.

    Yes programs only Update its quite good at letting you know what stuff on your system needs updated - ie adobe , firefox - even the best engineers miss one or two!

    Anything I try to download I am told there is a Trojan so sorry but no more CNET.

    It was a media player called potplayer. I've been trying to see if I could find a good player I tried several and it had good reviews.

    Best media player are VLC and my personal favourite for stability and audio excellence is KM Player!!!

    Never download from the outlet website always go directly to the coders website and download from there - checkit with av and antispyware - check the signature of the file using properties and only then install!
