only use qwix to make the xiso, dont use it to FTP. use flashfxp to FTP it works better, qwix usually works better if youve got an Avalaunch dashboard running. using flashFXP transfer all of the files from the D drive on the xbox then create the XISO with qwix. then use DVD decrypter to write the XISO (MAKE SURE THAT YOU BURN AT THE LOWEST SPEED POSSIBLE, if you can do x1.)

I used flash fxp to get the game on to my computer. Quix said that I need to establish a ftp connection to create the iso. I just tried burning at 1x and the same thing. In quix, I just select create iso and not convert iso? Also in quix is the total size of the iso supposed to be bigger than 4,200.2mb? Does it matter that I am using dvd+r 16x discs?

dont worry about when it says you must have an FTP connection, its just a warning. you have to go into create iso then check local folder and take all the game folders, and make them into one. your disc types are good, DVD+Rs usually work well. it doesnt matter the game size as long as it fits on the disc, which should be 4.7GB unless you bought a DVD-9 (8.5GB). you should now have your ISO and should use dvd decrypter and go Mode>ISO>Write. if it doesnt work im forced to think its your dvd burner, because dvd decrypter usually burns ISOs flawlessely...

test your dvd burner, see if it does the same error with a diferent program. also if you dont want to use dvd decrypter there are other programs out there that burn ISOs like nero and Alcohol 120% so once you have your ISO try burning it with a diferent program.

    keep me posted,

it must be your dvd burner because usually all of those programs burn ISOs every time...try burning other things like a movie or video files to see if you get the same error burning those...

I'm at my wits end. I have tried for the last 5 hours trying to get my Xbox hooked up with my PC for FTP. I also am connected with a cross over cable directly to my PC. I have tried just about everything. Does it make a difference if I'm hooked up through my wireless network at the same time?

I followed your steps exactly on connecting to the FTP but it keeps saying that the connection is refused.

it doesnt matter as long as your local area connection is set at use the following IP: and at 192.168.0.100 (or, 192.168.0.1), and subnet mask is at 255.255.255.0 . is your xbox modded? what dash are you using?

Yeah, it is modded. I think with an Aladdin chip (maybe not sure). I'm running Evo X on the dashboard. So I'm really out of ideas on how to get this to work. What would the Default Gateway and DNS be? Or does it matter? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Everytime I try it tells me connection refused. I have no idea. I'm running XP and basically am clueless as to why it won't work.

on your evox dashboard make sure its set to statip IP. also make sure the password is xbox. the default gateway should just be . . .

give me the settings you are using for the xbox and on your internet protocol settings.

    Computer
    Ip: 192.168.0.100
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0

    Xbox:
    Ip: 192.168.0.100
    Subnet: 255.255.255.0

Gateway and DNS settings are left blank. I have tried all different combinations from the different faqs here. But I'm willing to try anything you suggest. Thanks again for helping.

I still can't get it to work. I tried it two different ways with FlashFXP. I tried connecting using the .100 and it times out. When I try it with the .1 it says connection refused.

in your evoX settings make sure statip IP is ON or YES. make sure networking is enabled, as well as FTP enabled. make sure the password is xbox. also, try disableing proxy while connecting through FlashFXP.

also, make sure you have a controller plugged in, and that you dont have a game in when attempting to FTP. once you establish a connection, then pop in your game.
