Am confused. been checking reg about any update to staview5,we recieved cards in barnlsey about a month ago. lost all movies and few other channel.read info on N3 prevoiusly. but been away for a few weeks and not had chance to keep updated, is there any fix avaiable now or is that it. been confused by some previous posts

 

There are NO fixes for the boxes you either need to have a kryptview 750 box or buy a new box either a kryptview 780, Starview 6 lan or if you want a sat and cable box buy the starview combo box

 

Hi e45, I've been searching the forum for ages now & can't see the answer to this question, sorry if it's been covered already but am I right in thinking that if you get a kryptview a780 you have to connect your broadband cable to a modum, then connect your kryptview to the modum via a lan cable & also have your TV cable in the kryptview? Any help appriciated, JB

 

Hi, Yes you have to have a connection to your broadband modem/router and a connection from the incoming cable line.

Ha Ha!! Been using starview for soooo long & this is all a bit startrek for me, but you don't learn if you dont just have a go do ya!! Thanks for your help lads!! Oh yeah, read somwhere that you flash the Kryptview then scan before you connect the lan, is this correct & if so do ya put the other cables in & just leave the lan out???? Thanks in advance.

 

ha ha been using the krypt for sooo long its a bit like....lol
same as the starview.6 flash, tune, broadband cable in and stay in

 

yes thats correct you connect your modem to your router via lan cable then you connect your lan cable from router to your 780 and your cable feed to your 780 as well job done.

If you dont have a router you are going to have to connect from the modem to the 780

also dont forget you will also need the firmware for the box and the loader which you can get from Kryptview toolbar linked below

If U need to update ur bx stariew,eurovox.......etc
If u got relative or friends an other country he can download new software update fron google
raison google u.k has ................

 

are you talking about using the box in another country outside of the Uk and Ireland as there is no updated firmware for any of them boxes.

if not someone is yanking your chain m8

 

no new updates will be out for all older boxes

 

is ther a new lst want to no how long widnes got

 

take it as soon as you get your new card you will have approx 3 weeks to get a new box

 

Live in wigan ...all boxes still ok, tho talking to v****n engineer on friday says new red cards being issued with new installs, also basic boxes are now scrapped , if you need a replacement box then you will recieve hd box as standard, also says there are no plans to roll out the new cards by post just yet

 

dont belive all ya hear m8 as soon as your card drops thru your door you have approx 3 weeks to get new box
