That depends where you are.. But just get somebody to stick a solderless chip in it for 5 minutes and do a restore to factory and you're done.. It's literally that simple.. There will be somebody near you who provides the service. I know from how you use words that you are on the other side of the pond from me.. lol

So you have drummed up the courage to open it up?.. You have to open up the PC as well. Look for xboxhdm at the bottom of this page.. download it and have a good read of the instructions.. http://www.xbox-scene.com/software/software.php?page=linux Just a hint to make life easier.. don't mess with the locking and unlocking tools at all..there is no need. If you unplug the ide cable from the dvd drive the box will boot to "error 12" and the drive is unlocked. Make sure you have your required dash files on the hdm cd.
