I live in the uk and have a Nokia 6230 which is locked to T Mobile and i want to unlock it. The IMEI number of the phone is 351114104600493. Can someone please help me?

the codes are correct for that network, r u sure the network it's locked to is correct?

 

I have tried but it has not worked. Do you have to leave the spaces as shown and if so, how do i do it. I have not got a sim card in the phone, is this correct? I did not get any message at all after entering the unlock code and pressing the ok button. Am I doing something wrong?

put in the new sim you want to use, the fone should request the code, no spaces just the code, thge spaces are so you can read it quickly.

 

Have done as you said and it came up with code error - any ideas?

It came up with code error again I'm afraid.

The phone works with a T Mobile sim and it is an Orange SIM that we now want to put in it. I thought the phone was originally purchased as a sim free phone, but this does not seem to be the case.

sorry, but some 6230/6230i are not unlockable by code generators.
sounds like you need a cable unlock.

 

Im such a fool, my daughter has just pointed out that the phone is a 7210.
