I'm hardly jealous, I just know that someone selling a PC like that for $200 is trying to rip you off. If you insist, buy it, but don't say I didn't warn you.
No its alright i'll buy from a big brand like dell or HP. They have some pretty good deals Thanks for your help though
lapjim, is that computer hot because a sane person does not sell a computer or whatever for less then parts costs alone? don't buy from dell or hp, build your own & will be cheaper plus gain the experience of doing so.
That's fair enough, but if you do want to build your own PC and get a much better deal than from Dell, check out the link we posted you earlier to another guy's thread. I know you can't use newegg since you're in Aus, but those components aren't hard to find over there, mwave are a particularly good site.
See this list http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/781847/4735594 Also, you can try expresspcparts but the site I've been most impressed by so far is this one: http://www.mwave.com.au/
Yeah but the pc they built in this forum http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/781847/4735594 would cost $626 in Australian money. When I tried to make the exact same PC it cost about $826 Aus money. But all the pieces weren't the same on mwave.com.au. If you can make an alright gaming PC under $700 on thw mwave website please tell me. Thanks
You'll have to give me a moment. I forgot that due to price differences $500AU is only about $270-$300US. That makes building a gaming PC extremely difficult, but not quite impossible (For reference, any PC you buy from Dell etc. at this price will have integrated graphics and won't be able to play any games at all) http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/productdetail.asp?sku=19010160 http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/productdetail.asp?sku=28023048 http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/productdetail.asp?sku=37060070 http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/productdetail.asp?sku=42022277 http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/productdetail.asp?sku=34040452 http://www.mwave.com.au/newAU/mwaveAU/productdetail.asp?sku=16010965 This lot comes to just over $500, is the bare minimum required for a gaming PC of any reasonable specification. It does not include a hard disk drive or DVD drive, but you can probably migrate those over from your new PC.
