in your motherboard look at page 20 under front panel audio header. see if you are wired up correctly & the bios is set correct for this. ftp://174.142.97.10/manual/ConRoe1333-D667%20R1.0.pdf
i havnt got time at the moment but will do in the morning, i also noticed in BIOS that it should be set to enabled not auto, well i remember mine was set at auto, so heres hoping.
i changed the BIOS and nothing changed so i looked at wiring in the manual and none are the same. there was a spare cable taped up that i think needs connecting to the onboard header but my cables dont match, mine are as listed below. return L return R mic- in mic- bias speaker out L speaker out R ground the onboard ones are listed below from left to right top to bottom ground, presence, mic-return, out-return mic2L, mic2R, out2R, jsence,out2L
ok an update, i have the headphones working but no mic, i did sound test on skype and it didnt work, they gave a link whick took me to windows sound test and both worked ok, but when i went back to skype it wasnt working.
ive done the tools, i think prob is that when i have to go into audio sounds and devices in windows it is not saving, even tho i am clicking apply.
well eventually got it sorted, one of the settings was not saving, so eventually got it saved and bingo working. so thanks very much for everyones help.
