USB Storage Device Problems

    i was wonderring if you guys could help me. this is related to this thread (sort of) but i can't find anywhere else to put it.

    ok, i have a FREECOM Classic Hard Drive, and i can't seem to be able to install windows on it.

    Could you please try to enlighten me?!

    does motherboard & windows see the drive

    windows and setup for windows xp sees it, but it says that it can't access the driver partition which i have to install windows on .

    did you partition & format the drive??

    i did neither but it seems to think i did.

    when xp setup reaches the part where i have to choose where to put it, it finds the c: drive but also the F: (usb) drive. in the usb drive there is a partition where i think it wants me to install windows.

    Im trying to install an external drive too. But windows xp wont even recognise its there.

    Its connected via USB 2.0 (which mine supports) but I cant get it to recognise it at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    no it didnt.

    ive managed to fix the problem by removing the jumpers, it all works fine now and is acting like it should!
