Vurbal - Good read thx. Tpeddi - a simpler method would be to use a programme like Neodvd4plus after dvd2one or dvdshrink to create your own menus.
Yes, a good read thx. I think i will stick with using two dvd-r's and dvd-xcopy for the movies I care about and WILL be shown on a hd monitor at a later date and use DVD shrink and alike for one time viewers or kids movies. I have this anal-retentive streak in me that has to feel like my backup is as good as the original. I got this back when i had no hard drive space had a cdr burner and wanted to back up cd's. I didn’t trust mp3 to give me that warm fuzzy feeling of just as good as the original. So I always used .wav and direct copies. I've overcome this nowadays and have ten gig of mp3's at 128kbps but all my original cd's are backed up to 256kbps to maintain the warm without the fuzzy feeling. The only movie I have backed up is lord of the rings and the two disk copy seems to be exact, warm, and fuzzy. My brother brought over a one disk copy and I can tell. No warm or fuzzy there. This has been a fun conversation and my first time getting info this way. I usually just search and search until I figure it out. I’ve been doing it that way for 8 years now.
