Well then there's really no difference. CRT monitors are a bit smaller though and not widescreen *drool* @_@

High res widescreen is the way to be. So much more detail :)

To say there's no difference between a CRT and LCD image quality wise is absurd...

Not quite what I meant. I just mean to say that the IQ difference between a CRT at high res and an LCD at a similar res are very small. Quality LCDs can match CRTs in IQ. Mine does.

I guess that's the beauty of S-IPS then. The image quality on my LCD is leaps and bounds ahead of both the CRTs I owned, and one of them was meant to be very good.

Maybe. I only used a TN panel and the CRT is SO MUCH better looking.

Get a Dell Ultrasharp 24" and bask in the glory. The image quality is awesome :)

I had planed on getting a 30" HP which has the same panel as Sam's monitor. Alas, that fell though. At least I sold like 10 of them.

Note: The Ultrasharp (S-IPS), not the TrueColor (TN)

Umm, the HPs used the S-IPS panels.

Yes, but Estuansis said get a 24" dell ultrasharp, I wanted to clarify that - a Truecolor won't do. :)

I have no such problems with my screen. Beautiful IQ and color. Black blacks and white whites. The best monitor I've ever owned by far. And yes an UltraSharp. The TrueColors are decent, but the UltraSharps are top end quality.

    Dell Ultrasharp is S-IPS for 20" and 30", S-PVA for 22" and 24"
