largefruit, I am just getting started with Spanish. It's rapidly becoming a very useful language in the US.

Sophocles, not bad at all for an Englishman who hasn't been around francophones in 20 years.

Such a linguistic explosion all of a sudden...I don't know if I can stand it! Sacre bleu!

That settles it!!! Languages and subtitles stay. 'Gimme time, I'll resurrect those 'ole brain cells.

Largefruit??? (...I'm smiling at the abuse you take). WinDVD 6? Thanks. I've got v5. Will that work? If so, I'll dust it off. It's really nice to have a resident software junkie. I hope you wife appreciates the contribution you make. She does know, doesn't she?

    Salut tout le monde. :)

Doc409, you can use DVD Shrink Reauthor mode and "Start/End" feature to make the compilation.
Part of the chariot scene would be fine (4-5 seconds per title).

Off to work now, c u later. ;)

BigO is right about the WinDVD6. After using it, I stopped even bothering with the others. There is enough of a difference between 5 and 6 to be noticable. I wouldn't say buy 6 if one already has the 5. I would say do the trial download and see what you're missing.

Will do ... the trial, that is. The $69 would put me over my monthly DVD budget!!!

    Doc

If you hjave an older version of WinDVD then you can upgrade and get a discount on the price of WinDVD 6X.

Thanks. I just checked, and it's a $10 savings - as it was bundled with another product. $10. Umm. That's quite magnanimous of them.

Onto the angles of DareDevil. Thanks for the hints. The files are on their way to the RB-CCE oven.

    Doc

$10 is a movie, soda, and popcorn. LOL

Let me know how DareDevil works out, I take you found the second set of multi angles and successfully stripped them?

Sorry for being lazy and not reading the posts relating to Daredevil, but is it you're trying to accomplish with this particular DVD?

Sophocles...Ummm. $10 for a movie, soda, and popcorn. I see that your glass is half-full today. You're kind of optimism just perked up my day!!! Thanks.

I don't quite know where I am just yet on the angles. When I did the "hide angles" on title sets 4 and 6 I chose Angle 1. I'm now preparing the angles for RB-CCE.

Daredevil is a good example of a movie with multi-angle format. To use it with a setup like RB/CCE you have to eliminate all but one angle to get it to work properly. So doing Daredevil is an exercise in honing one's editing abilities.

So if I understand correctly, you want a "menus+movie+extras" backup, while removing the multi-angle feature.
Or is it a "menus+movie" backup?

Well, for my 14 YO, he wants everything on the disc. In this case he will have to do without the special effects angles in the movie ... which are scenes that show things from different camera perspectives.

Sophocles...the files are now in RB-CCE, but I'm wondering if what I did was all there was to it. It seems all too simple right now.

I'm curious, have you done any RMP tasks yet that require you to write or modify commmands/instructions yet?

Thanks for the clarification, Doc409. :)

If I can make a suggestion, maybe you guys should start a new thread about the subject.

I don't see any point in keeping this one alive when we've been off-topic for so long.
A new thread would also be easier to find for others interested in the removal of multi-angles features.

Just what brobear said. we use a tool called DVDremake to strip away multi angles so that the file can then be fed through DVD-RB. DVD-RB is a great application but it doesn't have support for multi angles/interleaves.
