hi brobear, doc, soph, 6402 and big o..

just popped by to say hello...not lurking, honest:). Haven't had the time to use DVDCopy2 Platinum as much as I would have liked as being retired there's not enuff hours in the day (I had more time to do stuff when I worked!).

So far DVDCopy2 has made good copies on DVD of several movies and my wife thinks I'm very clever so I'm very happy with it. Glad I found you guys when I did, probably saved me buying something average with the flashiest box. No doubt I will move on to RB/CCE when I've played more with DVDCopy2 and Shrink and I don't feel so technically deficient.

BTW, I bought SkipDr motorised version out of eBay and I'm now waiting delivery from US.

I'll pop by again another time to see what you guys are talking about and what the latest ratings of the various programs.

Hey guy, how goes it? Thought maybe your wife had confiscated your PC,;)

Just wondering, what did you finally get Skip Dr. for on ebay?

    big o...

Nope, she just took away my chocolate and nookie privileges (if you know what the latter is). I miss the chocolate. :)

Bought the skpdr new in a box, retail USD$36, from a regular eBay company, didn't want to risk the hassles of a cheaper, used model from someone overseas...too hard to get your money back if it's a dud.

Nookie? Hmmmm, I seem to remember that, it's something or other that happens before marriage? ;0

Don't blame ya, I was just wondering what they were going for now on ebay. I think new they're 49.00 so you got a good deal. I paid 29.00 for mine a month or so ago, so we're in the same ballpark. :)

    big o ...

yep, you got that right, it must be an unwritten universal rule followed religiously by the sisterhood :) :) :).

$29 is a good price. I'll let you know how mine goes when I get it and get around to using it. It's 1300 hours here so time for beddies, and sleep :). See ya next time.

Lurking is permitted as long as you drop in and say hello every now and then.

So let me see your wife now thinks you're clever because of the DVD backups you've done. I'll have to point that out to my wife and let her know that I'm not just wasting my time, and that I've been clever more than 500 times.

You want to call and explain it to my wife Sophocles? I don't think she'll buy it coming from me.

vurbal, maybe you could let your wife talk to soph's wife? That outta get the matter settled in a hurry! lol

BTW, leave my wife out of this! Any attempts to convince her I'm clever would result in conspiracy charges by her upon us. ;)

Yea that's going to work. Trust me if Vurbal's having problems convincing his wife now then he doesn't want to be looking to my wife for support. LOL

And it's never good when your wife talks to somebody else's wife. Nothing but evil can come of it.

Yes...it is best if the wife needs to know something...that she consult the husband in order that she may receive the truth.

That's right Doc the truth. A $3000 CAM dear really only costs a little more than $8 a day for the first year and after ten years its less than a $1 a day and practically free.

Yes ... and what price happiness? $8 a day is such a small pittance.

And ... if the camera were turned to the use of capturing family memories ... it becomes an essential asset.

I even feel old. My body is beat up after my first week at a new job. At least I was busy.

I just downloaded the new beta anydvd. It has a check box for remove protection based on unreadable sectors
It worked on a previous problem DVD. It still won't let DVDshrink rip without error at full speed.

What's funny is that AnyDVD has gained new ground for enabling Shrink to get at those hard to rip DVDs I won't ask what that new job is, my back is hurting just hearing about it.
