THIS THREAD HAS GIVEN ME A NEW IDEA !!
    _____________________________________________________________________

Just read all the posts here and found them to be very heartwarming
and extremely interesting. Especially all the member's support for the underdog. Maybe afterdawn.com will consider adding a new forum
titled: " TECHIE PERSONAL PROBLEMS " or " LIFE SITUATIONS "......
or maybe even " PERSONAL DILEMMA ".
    ___________________________________WHY ?_____________________________
Well, I feel life is not ALWAYS about solving technical problems.
Our emotional life influences our tech lives in a profound way.
Sometimes people ( or better yet our members ) need feedback and
suggestions on where to turn next. Many times, we can't solve things by ourselves. We need to hear from others of like-mindedness.
If afterdawn.com did add this new section, it would make the
website even more interesting than it already is at this time !!

    JUST A SUGGESTION.

i couldn't see a forum for it (same as cars), but perhaps a few threads (same as cars) could be tolerated.

If you were POPULAR, GREAT LOOKING, MEMBER OF A RICH FAMILY,
JOCK FEMALE or MALE, HIGH I.Q., OVER-ACHIEVER in High School
...........tell us your job now ( years after High School ).

This might give john_k some insight. Plus, it may make
you realize how all those traits didn't help you
( or how they DID help you in the long run ).

Well my daughters a college student and shes not that insensitive so I guess shes not typical? LOL

I probably wrote in haste, but it isn't very polite to laugh at somone like that. It's kind of like kicking them when they are down.

    Cheers

There is no need to correct yourself I understood what you meant :) Thats why I had the LOL's in there. Believe me I am smiling at all of your comments I was just being my normall smart arse with the jerk remark, and as I stated earlier I probably shouldn't have said that but it was the first thing that came to mind so I just wrote it. I know I probably do that a little to much, but thats just me :) Believe me Auslander I could never get in war against you now with you I would fight to the death! LOL I consider you a friend so you could never say anything to offend me :)

    We're all trying to help john_k !!

He is a senior in high school and is expressing some frustrations.
Therefore, I don't think the second page of this thread is very helpful !!

It's not being a good role-model for any of the adults on this website to suggest to anyone Suicide ( even as a joke ). Let's stick to being helpful and stop the morbid jokes. Humor does have it's
place.........but NOT morbid humor in this case.

Empathy for the underdog seems to be the most appropriate
    approach here.
