VSO's CopyToDVD and Bindwrite5 now come as a suite. Hmm! Perhaps redundant information, I think Nephilium already knew that they were a suite. I use both Alcohol 120% and Blindwrite and they "are about as good as it gets." _X_X_X_X_X_[small] "Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth." The copy using A120 works fine as well. Used the SafeDisc 2/3 setting with the burn set to 4X. whats going on everyone, i recently got x games copy 5.0 and dvd x copy 4.0.3.8 but i cant find the registration code, can anyone please help, i really dont wanna pay $30 a piece
It would be illegal for anyone to give you their serial number. If you made a legitimate purcahse then you can contact 321 Studios and they'll supply you with the unlock codes
I just bought -[bold]Medal of Honor Breakthrough[/bold]- and it has a safedisc2.90 protection on it right... right, anyway's it copied all smooth and all but when I pop the backup in it just stay's on the [bold]Medal of Honor Breakthrough[/bold] logo and that's it, what's the deal! I even tried copying with BW5 and it stoped about a minute into writing and her cute voice said copying not complete (well close enough to what she said) so I'm stumped once again. any help once again please.
ok some weird shit is going on here, when I tried to copy Medal of Honor Breakthrough with AL120% didn't work, tried with BW5 it didn't work but tried CopytoDVD and it worked, I have a total of 6 coasters just to copy this game not to mention other coaster's with another game. Getting tired of this =S
Hiya, What were the write speeds you used? The slower the burn, the better the chance the copy will work. I usually burn at 4X.
with AL120 the burn speed was 8x but with BW5 and CopytoDVD there were no speed options, I geting coaster's like crazy. It seems like a hit and miss all 3 programs. These games seem to have different program preference when it comes to backing up them up Do you use one program or various ones?
geestar20 CopyToDVD does have speed ajustments. Open the suite and choose tools, then settings, then CopyToDVD settings, then writing devices. Look to the bottom left and you'll see the speed adjustments for both CD and DVD. Now for Blind Write. Open CopyToDVD, choose copy, then copy music data and games, then options, settings, general, if you look just below engine, you'll see a speed ajustment. If you rather use Blind write as a standalone application, then you can go to C:\programfiles\vso\blindwrite5\BW right click on BW and choose create a shortcut and the paste the shortcut onto your desktop and you're done. No big deal just speeds things up a little.
thank's -Sophocles- I am not to familiar with these programs and your input was greatly appriciated, THANKS!
Hey buddy, I highly recommend getting BlindWrite5 Tweaker. It's the coolest little app ever that lets you adjust and tweak every setting before you open BW5 itself. You can get it here: http://www.aray-software.com/ For doing SafeDisc using Tweaker, in the "Basic Settings" tab set the write speed to 4X, you can leave the read speed set to "Adaptive" since SafeDisc can be read fast. Now in the "Topology" tab under "Writing Topology" select "Do Not Write Topology" since SafeDisc doesn't require it. You can ignore the "Advanced Settings" tab. Now click the "Run BlindWrite" button and BW5 will launch. I think most of your troubles are stemming from the drive you're using. The newer protections damn near require a "2-sheep" burner which is one that can write EFM correctly (essential to backing up protections). Unfortunately, your A07 isn't a 2-sheep.
thanx -Nephilim- 'I will try BW tweak and see how it goes ,hopefully no more coaster's. when are you going to be a mod, your here 24/7 Thannk's for the compliment on my sig, it's what I do as a hobbie.
I was reading this thread last week and downloaded a trial copy of BlindWrite 5.0. Sure enough, it made a backup copy of Ghost Recon Gold and Battlefield Vietnam. I put the copies in the drive to see if they would run and they did, bringing up the install/and other options. I thought everything was set until I went to play Ghost Recon a couple of nights ago and when I inserted the copied disk to play the game, all I got was a small square in the middle of the screen. The game would not load, although it did when I replaced the copy with the original in the CD drive. Thanks for your help ahead of time! You guys sound really sharp and are great the way you help each other!
Hi Gary, What make/model burner are you using for your backups? Subpar backups will almost always install but the real test comes when you go to actually play the game and the copy protection kicks in
