i was lucky and my brother's friend screwed up his bios and got the programmer... so im gonna say buy it... its worth the 20 bucks casue its so easy

I have a xecuter 2.0 plus chip with the switch and a xbox version 1.0 and I flashed with the 4977 and it did it correcly shut down at the end and said bios is updated. After I turn on the xbox again it turn to the same page asking for the bios disc. Can someone tell me why

I have a xecuter 2.0 plus chip with the switch (enable, unprotected and bank 1) and a xbox version 1.0 and I flashed with the 4977 and it did it correcly shut down at the end and said bios is updated. I have the XECUTER 2.3 LITE PLUS chip and a version (I believe...) 1.4 xbox...idk I bought it a week ago.

I scraped and I scraped and I scraped the DO point, I see copper not metal I am pretty sure I got it good.... I have the chip on enable....unprotected....and bank 1 like the guy at my store said it should be. Before I would get 2 blue lights on the xbox, and 1 green light on the switch w/ enable/disable etc, and the xbox just loads up normal, everything works fine, but it loads up w/ m$ bios.

Now, it either blinks green for 3 times every few seconds, then goes green/red/green/red or just a steady yellow...or I can take off the chip and it works......

What do I have to do! I have moved the chip around a MILLION times.... it seems like its gettin somewhere new since it doesnt load up xbox normal bios when the chip is on, and when its off its fine, but I NEVER get the green LED4 light on the chip to come on. No matter what I do. Someoen said something about scraping the pin on the modchip that plugs into DO?? I'll try that, along with the tinfoil plan, but what is some more advice! My brother is home in 2 days and Im trying to do this for him for xmas. I already did my own chameleon modchip, so I have some backround in the topic. Please help!!

 

i got my xecuter 2.3 lite plus chip to work but now I'm at that bios screen and i need the bios does any one have them and can you help me

 

easiest way to correctly seat the xecuter2.2/2.3 with pogo pins, is to put a tiny blob of solder on the d0, worked for me first time
re the bios , you need a dif bios to the linux cromwell that comes with it if you want to play or backup your games.
cant tell you where it is unfortunately, but look on mirc

 

What do people mean when they are talking about "patching games"...........im confused...all my backups have worked so far, but they say "wait till you need to patch one......".............????

 

I had the same problem. I just use a sharp object to open and clear the d0 point a bit. But when I flashed it kept killing itself. Now when I start the box it starts, kills, starts, kills, starts and FRAG. Anyone got a suggestion? Iv got Xbox v1.0 and Xecuter 2.2 Lite+
